Within the Canary Islands are 6 active volcanoes. One of these, La Palma, is erupting right now. However, the eruptions from La Palma tend to be quite small. This is not the case for the island of Lanzarote, which has erupted twice in historic times. One of its eruptions covered more than 200 square kilometers of the island over a span of 6 years. This video will discuss this volcano, and mention what its future hazards are.
