Sal looks at examples of three infinite geometric series and determines if each of them converges or diverges. To do that, he needs to manipulate the expressions to find the common ratio.

I'm confused about the n in the summation why do some have the exponent like n and others have it n-1?

Convergence also occurs at r = 0

this is good but he didnt cover what value the summation will conv too. youll have to take r and do the a / (1-r) to get the value to which is conv

Since 1= 1^n ...so 1/9^n = 1^n/ 9^n = (1/9)^n As a^n/ b^n = ( a/b)^n
