"Forever Autumn" is a song written by Jeff Wayne, Gary Osborne and Paul Vigrass, and sung by Justin Hayward. The original melody was written by Wayne in 1969 as a jingle for a Lego commercial.
Lyrics were added, and became a hit in Japan in 1972,
The song was unearthed, to be re-recorded in 1976.
Only the new version was performed by Justin Hayward, the frontman for the Moody Blues (Nights in White Satin, was one of their hits). From the album “Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds”. The musical interpretation of H.G Wells's famous novel, from 1885.
I recorded the vocals in my kitchen, in 25 minutes (it’s all the time I had), so my apologies for the sync issues in some of the vocals.
I usually only upload 60-second songs, but I love the lyrics so much I wanted to give you all the whole picture, the whole story.
