Because the U.S. and Europe live in the 21st and our military have access to 21st century weapons. Putin isn't going to win this that is obvious. Napoleon kicked their ass, Hitler kicked their ass, both destroyed most of their country. only thing that saved them both times was the west(America/Britain) assistance, money, weapons & bombs. The same assistance which has caused them to lose in Ukraine. Russia lost to Finland and Japan many yrs ago as well as Afghanistan. Russian military power has always been grossly exaggerated. they are a bully who only beats up on small neighbouring countries close to them like Georgia etc. imagine if they had to venture across the globe the way the U.S. has always had to. they'd lose to almost every country in the world.
