Yes!!!! Such a master. Not unlike Quincy Jones in bridging a classic jazz and a more modern soul/R&B eras and sensibilities. I worked at a small hotel in the French Quarter in 1980 and George Benson stayed there one night for a concert date. He would walk through the lobby singing. Unmistakable George Benson voice walking to the elevator.

George has always been in my absolute top 10 since I first heard Love X Love when I was a kid, it still sends a wave of love and happiness through each time I hear it and anything George does is sublime!

i wish i could find more of these unreleased/hidden jewels from benson. i remember how ecstatic i was when i finally heard the different versions of “Marvin Said” or when i finally found “When love comes calling”, “you can do it baby” and the remixes from Louie Vega. such great feeling music.

Recorded in the mid 90’s - London as part of a whole album. (It sits in a vast somewhere in the USA) Bluey has dats and the track are only partially mixed. There are in total about 10 to 12 tracks. SIMON HALE worked on That's right Album with JP Maunick aka Bluey so it made sense to speak about the 90's! After listening to the intro of Golden Lady listen to When Love comes the intro calling... it is signed !

George in St Louis Mo. at the Factory in Chesterfield on May 12, 2022 and I will be getting tickets this week. I just think it is terrible he is trying to look young with the surgery to his nose and face over the years, I could hardly recognize him and had to bring up the breeze album cover to remember how he really looked, Hope the surgery didn't mess with the voice..

Orchestration sounds like the work of Michael Gibbs. He's a great conductor. He did the orchestration on Mahavishnu Orchestra's Apocalypse. One of John McLaughlin's many master comps. Check him out on Johnny Carson sometime.

I heard it on the radio, then Googled it. First result was on some streaming site I’d never heard of, so I downloaded it and reupped it to KZfaq, so it would get a wider audience! Glorious version.

He sample original Stevie Wonder version with the 1974 fantastic Bossa Nova arrangments by Jose Feliciano. The result is very good but not at level of Feliciano

I'm a huge fan of George Benson and love this track, but to me it feels unfinished in terms of production values. Probably the reason it was never released. A great shame
