The actor and his lawyer bride arrive by water taxi to make their marriage legal following
a star-studded ceremony at the weekend.Newlyweds George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have
sealed their vows at a civil ceremony in Venice.
The couple partied into the night with stars such as Matt Damon, Bono, Cindy Crawford and
Emily Blunt after their wedding on Saturday - but their vows still had to be made legal in
Italy.

It is unclear whether their Hollywood chums attended Monday's ceremony at Venice city hall.

Onlookers and paparazzi watched the couple arrive in a water taxi.
The pair were reportedly married under Italian law by former mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni,
a long-time friend of the 53-year-old movie star.
The Clooneys are rumoured to be spending their honeymoon in Morocco's former imperial city
of Marrakech.
Human rights lawyer Alamuddin, 36, was born in Lebanon but moved to Britain when she was a
toddler.

Her father, Ramzi Alamuddin, described Saturday's wedding at the seven-star Aman Canal
Grande hotel as "grand", "simple" and "more than perfect".
There were wolf-whistles and cheers as the actor scooped his new wife into his arms for a
nuptial kiss, an AFP source said.
Clooney's hands were shaking so much that he botched cutting the wedding cake, the source
added.
His new wife wore a cream trouser ensemble with navy blue trim at the waist for the civil
ceremony - topping it off with a wide-brimmed hat.
Clooney, who has owned a home in northern Italy for years, was married once before - to Mad
Men actress Talia Balsam.

The pair split in 1993 just before his breakout role in the TV series ER.
Alamuddin's work has included representing Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
The couple met in Rome at the end of last year. They got engaged in April.
The couple are widely thought to have agreed a deal to sell the pictures exclusively to one
publication - American Vogue is the favourite - and to donate the money raised to one of
the causes they support.
