This brings back memories of my childhood, of Funerals in Algiers and New Orleans.

I remember to meet up with Louis Nelson in Cologne in 1986 where he played this lovely hymn, too.

Find it quicker with "Heartland pt. 1 Conchata Ferrell Rip Torn" It's a long version with just clarinet and piano, perfectly suited to the grey day in Wyoming's coming winter that it introduces. The music is pure, the delivery mournfully measured.

A really soulful version of the song is played by Lewis in the opening scenes of Heartland. Search for "Heartland pt. 1

Just finished watching the movie. Mr. Lewis’ playing was so beautiful and so perfect.

Jazz einbeziehen.

Sorry, not good. George Lewis played it much more better on other recordings.
