12 жыл бұрынGeorge Lucas made a surprise appearance at the "Super-Secret Star Wars Panel with Todd, Seth and Matt" at Star Wars Celebration 6. George wasn't announced as being in attendance but he came out at the end of the Seth Green panel to discuss the new "Star Wars Detours" comedy show from the makers of Robot Chicken.

I was at this panel--when George came walking out, it was completely unexpected. The place went NUTS, as you can see here. Best moment in my SW fan life up to this point.

There is no real no real reason to hate on Lucas. Those films are a result of VERY hard work. Years worth of it in fact for each and every outing. Yes, they belong to him, now in legacy form rather than physical (thanks Disney). In the end, for the last trilogy, i believe there were many many factors at play aside from just telling a story set in that galaxy. He's getting older, his stamina for putting these together has wore him down. He's been sick for a number of years as well. so chill.

People hating on Lucas doesn't make sense. You don't have to watch the prequel trilogy. For anyone watching this, the man probably made your favourite film(s) of all time. I think him setting out a general story for ep 7 would be good, however in terms of writing the screenplay, directing, producing, leave that to others (Like ESB). The man works best with limited creative control. (A New Hope the exception - Did pretty much everything).

I fucken love the voice actor for Obi Wan, god he does an amazing job on my boy Obi Wan. And i also love of course the creator of this whole sexy ass movie/ TV show. George Lucas. But i am wounding, were they joking around when they said, "George, have you met, the voice actor for Obi Wan in the clone wars?" And James said, " Obi Wan Kenobi sir, i don't know if you remember me." I would think that George would of course, since he was the one that hired him as an actor? Right?

All the applause George gets makes me smile. As much as we may want to hate him, as much as we give accusations of "raping" childhood, as much as there are death threats towards him, we still love him.

If I'd gone, I don't know if I would have seen this panel but would have been at the Clone Wars one where he appeared. He looks like he's gotten more animated, lighthearted and casual about all this.

Hey, I know this may not be that much of consolation, but my uncle has the original, unedited rare vhs versions from way back from the original release. and since I have a screen capture device, I can actually convert those vhs files in to digital, so they can last forever. Personally though, I don't mind the edits from the newer versions.

12:00 Super Secret Star Wars panel with the guys who make Robot Chicken. Yeah I missed it too, planned on seeing it but got to the convention center later than I wanted. I probably would have hurried a little more if I knew he was going to be there.

They mean the original *version* of the original trilogy. Yes, the old trilogy is out on blu ray, but it's the Special Edition (edited/altered) version, not the proper one. :)

Actually since Star Wars is now in the National Film Registry it belongs to culture as a whole and is a piece of art that should be restored to its original form, especially when this original form can easily co-exist with an "updated" or "modified" version.

That is the one thing I can understand, the fact that he won't just release the authentic blu-ray versions of the OT. Hopefully Disney will. I should re-phrase what I said by stating people hating on him for the PT.

I really am hoping for the next films to be pretty good. Considering what Disney have done with Marvel, I think it's relatively safe to hope they won't ruin it.

those wernt even up to the quality of DVD. they were taken from the laserdisc versions. so again, if you read my ORIGINAL comment, it says "original versions of the trilogy on blu ray". BLURAY. kthxbai.
