George knows he's good, but he also acknowledges that he is still a student of his heroes! What a guy! :)

As a huge Iommi fan I am little shocked he sort of pushed his lead playing aside as mediocre or whatever but at least he made up for it by admitting Iommi is and was the riff god of metal. Iommi's vibrato alone is hardly ever matched.

begin--- the first lesson was tuning. he had one those old spin dial tuners. lol, it was accurate. this was before i figured out harmonic tuning. standard 440 Hrz. paul h. asked me if he could play my guitar, i said sure..here. "you have a good one with high action". get the low e (top string in tune first), then tune the rest of the strings. the next lesson he said, i'm not going to teach you how to play a song, i am going to teach you how to play any song. there is a system. take notes and memorize everything i tell you. wow, i had to work hard every week.

Hi George, great performance!! U still have it, and always will. I'm an old fan and friend. Do you live, or have a place in Longwood, FL.? I'm in needed of a place, maybe near there. Sorry for the personal question. God bless, and let me know. Thanks

i could not afford a good guitar that stays in tune. so i bought a used ibanez artist for $250.00. i couldn't afford an amp, so i rigged up something on my cheap am/fm record player to get a reverse signal out to the speakers, through the head phone jack. so i started taking lessons from one of my friends. a great guitar player, he told me he had taken lessons from at least 10 instructors. end----
