Lennon had a habit of shitting on things that weren't his idea. Many times he would either sit-out or not bother to show up when they were working on the others´ songs or those he didn't care for. If it wasn't about him, he couldn't be bothered.

Yeah, but that's their least interesting stuff. Lennon was wrong about a lot of their catalog. Routinely so. The Beatles are at their least inspired when they're covering Carl Perkins and churning out rockers like what they grew up on. People to this day give Lennon credit for being so artsy when it was McCartney who was into the avant garde and pushing their scope and arrangements most often. John didn't even like what was done to Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite, despite the fact that it's incredible. I'll take 20 of Paul's arranged Pop masterpiece albums over John doing another Chuck Berry-esque song.

@@monovision566: I just listened to the Ram album a few days back. Fucking incredible. I simply can´t recall the last time I wanted to hear Lennon´s one dimensional albums like Imagine or Plastic Ono Band where he whines and bitches about how the world had mistreated him. LOL!

@@aclark903: It has been debunked that the driver was intoxicated, however, you can be sure that Julia was. I have worse tales of woe than Lennon could've imagined, as do others I know and didn't turn out to be bitter pricks. Lennon had an entitled spoiled life living with his Aunt Mimi and Uncle George and never wanted for anything. He was well-loved and cared for by them since the age of five into his twenties. Lennon barely ever knew his mother. That working-class tale he spun was all bullsh!t because he wanted people to believe he´d come up hard.
