For me, there's GM. And then there's everybody else. He acts with his voice ... Meryl Streep-level He conveys all the emotions a human being can feel with his voice. The clarity, the tone, the diction. You never, ever need to look at the lyrics to know what he's singing. Perfection.

George Michael was the best singer there ever was and still to this day he is very smooth and very beautiful and always the best. I will always believe that he is fantastic and great beyond any words that can be said. I will always admire and I would love him till the end of my life he is a fantastic artist, and was always great no matter what song he saying. His live performances were amazing. He has such a beautiful soul and heart. I really can’t say enough.

Man…we had people over for Christmas when we got the word of George Michael’s passing back in 2016. We were devastated. Immediately came to KZfaq and started playing every video of his we could find. WHAM!, solos, collaborations. He was such a rare talent. George Michael is greatly missed. Btw, that entire concert is FIRE!!!

Hi, I enjoyed your reaction. George is George. No one can even touch George musically, You got It right, PERFECTION! George wrote, sang, arranged, produced, created, directed even things he has done. His music was, POP, R&B, SOUL, JAZZ, & EVEN A LITTLE SWING! Oh yes, George covered all the basses. George was a perfectionist when It came to his music. He sang the same way live as in the studio hands down. If his talent wasn't enough, The man he was uncomparable! My dear, just think, you only have 30+ years to catch up on. And George never recorded, or performed without even a hiccup! Lots of gooseys though! There's so much wonderful to learn about George & the kind of man he was & still is. George passed % years now Christmas Day! No Christmas will ever be the same without him! But he left us with beautiful memories And a music catalog that will carry us through the end of time. If you continue through George's world he will blow your mind, & will be VERY SPECIAL to you as he is for us. He's been a part of many people's lives in ways you couldn't even imagine. You will understand more as you read your audience's comments. I could go on, & tell you so much more about this magnificent Man, you have no idea! But, I won't because It would only be about 1/2 a volume out of ten, maybe more. As you can see I love to talk! And George, forever! Anyhow my Friend, REMEMBER GEORGE & KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING! LOL til next time, ENJOY!

My very favorite version of this song. George Michael is the greatest male singer/songwriter imo.
@michaelgilman40682 жыл бұрын
He understood the internal mechanics of the songs he covered and registered their movements on a subatomic level. In 1996, at his MTV Unplugged concert, he sang Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” He sat on a stool surrounded by concentric circles of musicians-string players, guitarists, percussionists-and he responded sensitively to their dynamics, but still seemed strangely isolated and alone. “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” like his other covers, suggested not only a deep comprehension of the notes and design of the song but of the ache pulsing behind it. It’s not a “faithful” cover exactly, even as the song doesn’t seem to radically swerve from its native arrangement, but it doesn’t sound like a reanimation of the original text either. “If you don’t, if you don’t love me,” he sings toward the end, his eyes closed, his head swaying as if he were mentally swimming through new angles of feeling in the song. Even though his voice is smoother and more elastic than Raitt’s, the upper intervals of his voice convey a frailty, a kind of internal shattering, without the substance of his voice ever breaking apart itself. It’s a depthless emotion pressing against an unbreakable surface. A flower blooming in a terrarium. A muffled sob. A flawlessly organized cry.

I LOVE THIS MAN! George Michael will ALWAYS remain a permanent staple on my “All-Time Fav Voices” list. I can still remember seeing “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” video on MTV. For this reason I humbly suggest you to react to some more GM songs from this MTV unplugged to celebrate the date in a positive way, celebrating his legacy! Or yet his fantastic participation in the Concert for Hope in 1993 (organized by Lady Di) Other great songs of this concert: Star People Everything she wants You have been loved Fastlove A different corner Freedom 90’ Father figure In concert for hope he sang Killer, Papa was a Rolling Stone, One more try, Love’s in the love need today/and a fantastic version of Freedom 90’) Thanks so much for reading this comment 🥰
