This is converted footage from my own VHS taped recording of this concert.
Here is George Michael being the true superstar he was! I was lucky enough to be in the audience on that special night to watch this amazing show. (So sorry the first song is clipped - due to damaged VHS tape.)
The night was hosted by David Bowie . . . there was George Michael, KD Lang and Mike Hucknall. Princess Diana was in the audience along with many celebrities. Quite an incredible evening, however, for me George Michael was the highlight.

I got diagnosed with HIV on the first of the 12th of the 10th year in 2000 thankful for medication being able to be provided and thankful for all those involved who have supported AIDS charity making those peoples lives better many thanks

George had it all and I feel no one matches it; he had the voice, (live or recording) could dance, could write incredible songs and was one of the best looking men God created. This was his best time! This man never fails to amaze me. His pitch-perfect voice (really the most incredible thing), his raw emotion, his looks, his dance-moves. He was one in a trillion. I don’t think there ever was a better male singer than him and Freddie Mercury. I‘m so incredibly glad I got to see and hear George live. It truly was the most magical concert night of my life, and I don’t think it can or will ever be matched. Rest In Peace, you legend!

This year i discovered George Michael. I knew about his existence but i wasnt mature enough to understand his music, his struggles and problems and his understanding of the world and ignored his presence. I think i mostly understand now how troubled he was but in the same way what a good hearted man he kept on being despite people bashing him all the time because of his personal life decisions. What a man he was, a man that truly understood lifes meaning.

Isn't he fantastic?!!!! I just rediscovered his music 2 years ago when I got (and beat!!) Breast cancer. Now I can't get enough of him and his music. He was truly one of a kind even though he struggled mightily with his Fame. He gave us so much. I miss him terribly and would give anything if he were still here. Don't forget to Vote for his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Wouldnt that be something if he finally Made it this year?! Its about time!!!

paul alex i can soooo relate! i listened to him my whole life… but i am now discovering him and obsessed. i’m overjoyed to rediscover and sad that he left us so young. yes, maturity has come and i’m glad to recognize the art of his existence and work. he is a prodigy and awesome performer and wonderful singer and songwriter.

Agreed, me too! I just "rediscovered" him this past year. I grew up with him but never really appreciated him until now. I knew the songs but they didn't speak to me like they do now. Man, do I regret it now. He had a gorgeous voice and soul. I fall asleep to A Different Corner nearly every night.

And George Michael wrote the song during an incredibly difficult moment in his life, grieving from the loss of his brazilian lover and husband Anselmo. This song is so deep and it touches our soul. Wonderful song

Such an incredible singer. He had everything from the looks, dance moves and to that voice, not to mention the talent in writing his own music 🎵. God gave him his talent and voice, for an ordinary young man to sing and perform without any professional training is astounding. I was a toddler when he started out. I heard him because of my uncle. He was a big wham fan. I didn't appreciate george that much through my teens or even 20s. I do now.

I think when God made George, God said "I will make him unbelievably talented with the ability to write incredibly beautiful songs that move people's souls to tears, give him a voice like an angel that is unparalleled, be an amazingly gifted stage performer, and he will be a gorgeous man." God really blessed George and us by making George. ❤️

Its just so sad that he didn’t follow God and Jesus….he was everything you said and more, but lived such a life of sin, and died so tragically…it was heart breaking…..I’m 70 and he would be 61 today….i miss his talent so much…
