Wasn't that he peaked to early just the fact that he's had 5 knockout concussions atleast in the past 5 seasons has affected his game, shame really because he has the power, determination, fitness, and other attributes to have been the best winger of all time.

Pre-2016 North was an absolute beast. Was on-track to be one of the best wingers ever in the game, but the guy's clearly had too many knocks to the head, and is barely recognisable as the same player anymore. The sad thing is, this guy should be in this prime right now and still tearing it up, not hit his peak when he was 22/23.

Love this guy. Especially as a Welshman but I think that even though he's been inconsistent he's still our starting winger. What I'm about to say may be controversial..... I think he should retire. Although he's not had a knock to the head until recently, 6 (I think that's the number) concussions is far too many. He needs to think of his long term health

He's a Welsh hero and a great lion find tell me 1 human being who would ask him to put his rugby ability before his health and you would have found me a disgusting human being. Its a terrible situation for him and from a selfish point of view for the Welsh team and fans but if prefer him to live his life than to potentially have it ended on the field

Rhys Jones I agree. Since the concussion business happened he has been a shadow of himself and who blames him! Getting concussed is fucked and is going to majorly influence the way you play the game. I hope he gets to his best, because my memories as an Englishman of him of that 2013 lions tour are incredible. He is a hero!

I think the guy is an incredible athlete and a legend of the game... but the guy needs to retire. He's had to many knocks the the head and gets knocked out way to easily. Its time doctors stepped in, did the right thing and gave him the advice he needs and thats that he should stop playing. Its honestly terrifying watching him play, if it continues i honestly fear one day, he may not get up.

Everyone saying he "needs to retire" maybe try considering that he is constantly taking advice from some of the most qualified health professionals in the sport. I think they and him are better equipped to make the decision than you.

@@benjaminmarchant5862 It was rumoured that doctors told him to retire a couple of years back. The reality is he probably spoke to a variety of doctors who advised him, and you can only hope that he is sensible and takes the advice of the doctor/doctors he trusts most

Benjamin Marchant he said himself that he’s only ever played when he’s felt in a good position to play based on what the medics around him have said. He said he’s never taken the field when he’s not felt 100%

LOVE George North. Guess I agree but would be a shame if he had to retire from rugby, I hope to see him soon when Ospeys play again, would like to see him play live before he retires completely(if he does) just to say I have seen him...... I am English but support all rugby teams as love the game.

All these toys talking of concussion... He will stop when he wants to stop ..... JPR Williams and others I dare not mention endured way more than 6 concussions .... you know the crack when you step on the pitch, rugby is getting too soft !!! The guy is an awesome player, and he would be one of the first names on a Welsh team sheet for me .... Boxers should never fight again after being knocked out!!
