Finally managed to sort out the spring hanger on George the Morris minor

That seems a good job to take George through the winter, then maybe like you say, do a more thougher job next year, the weather is a pain, everytime I decide I want to do something outside it rains

That will do fine till the spring and when time allows. Is the opposite side OK? Does George need E5 or E10 as I used an additive after four star was stopped. Keep up the entertaining good work

That's a much stronger job on the spring hanger now! I noticed in one of your other videos that it looked like the front top bumper stops were missing on George? Maybe I'm wrong. I had to order a pair for mine recently but not fitted them yet. Not sure if they are that essential and probably missing on a lot of moggies. What are your thoughts?

Hi yes they are missing if you need a MOT then they will not pass it if missing. They are simple to so that's a good point. I have had a couple of moggies with them missing and never bothered. I may have one somewhere if I find it I pop it on but it's not on top of the list of things to do. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment 🤓👍

Thanks for the reply. If you decide to fit them it would make a good video too even though it only involves two retaining bolts - still a good reference for people. Don't think there is anything on YT about fitting them. Enjoy your channel very much. Keep up the good work!

Would you be able to go more into the welding? I've always had real trouble welding the thinner gauge stuff. There are loads of videos out there if you've got a £1000 set up.

Hi I know what you mean. Trouble is everyone is a expert in the heated workshop with the best equipment money can buy. But. That's no good for the back yard car owners trying to keep their cars on the road. But if someone do something that's not looking like a professional they get a lot of people putting them down and saying the welding is like bird shit etc. That's why people don't show to much. At the end of the day it's just melting metal together if is stronger than it was before you started and You are happy with it that's all that matters. Next time I do something I will show what I do it might be of Interest to you or you may see how not to do it. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment 🤓👍

@@woowoo883classiccars that would be great. I have a repair to do in the driver's floor pan but just can't get thin gauge welding right I just blow through it every time.
