Georges River Industrial Garbage Collection - SL72 (Delayed Weekly Collections)

This is something in which not many of us garbo fanatics would get to see very often and was lucky that I happened to be roaming the peakhurst area among the streets chokablocked with factories. This would've been around 9:30am (11/1/22) as I was waiting on Boundary road, surprised to see all the lines of unemptied industrial or orange lidded bins. Apparently a lot of drivers had been taking time off most likely due to covid, leaving so many missed runs that many of the bins weren't done until that following Saturday.
Hope this video is enjoyable, especially knowing these bins are usually done around 4:30am, based on knowledge from living on Boundary road way back when I was a lot younger. =)

love it love seeing the orange lids and missed collections my fav bit was 3:43 nocking 2 bins over lol sutherland recycle bin at 4:21 keep it up mate

Awesome video mate I like seeing delayed collections. I like all of the lid flips that this driver did too.

Cheers mate, this one's not too bad, I filmed it when it was in good condition in 2019, before it had all those indents & rust marks. You'll see the stabilisers beside the arm are bent, the driver said he tried to manoeuvre an 1100L full of soil, didn't go down too well 😂

A bit late to this one but most certainly enjoyed it! Very interesting to watch these Saturday collections knowing that we all are used to the regular Monday - Friday collections! Up here in Newcastle we have all these new estates and there is just to much bins for the trucks to finish on the Friday beforehand. There are usually about 4 full estates with green waste waiting to be collected the next day (Saturday). Although it has nothing to do with Covid. Anyway enjoyed the vid Liam & I can’t wait to see what’s to come next 😉

Cheers mate , yeah many of the drivers were off, honestly not sure if it was to do with COVID, this was a Tuesday but just very late. They have solos up in Newcastle I think? Don't see many of those around here, but the should've kept a few of their older trucks or do what Campbelltown do, which is lease a few units that have been biffed as spares

@@StGeorgeRegionGarbofan Yea lot of drivers in Newy are down atm due to covid! Newcastle have 140L & 240L Sulo waste bins, 240L Mastec, Sulo & Mastec 360L plus the occasional Sulo 2 for recycling. The green bins have Otto bodies with Sulo lids but for the new ones there just normal Sulos. A few old the old iveco Gen V’s ended with URM in Lane Cove & Hunter Hill councils! Cheers Liam!

Wow that is surely a rare sight right there never seen one of the 29m 70s trucks like 70 71 72 and 73 ever collecting garbage or commercial waste I heard in big councils like Canterbury Bankstown and Cumberland they have to get trucks from areas like Camden Fairfield and Ryde to collect their missed bins collection as the COVID cases soar their and rivers isolating but anyways I liked the vid Liam tommorow I’m backing filming St George again garbage and recycling so stay tuned cus they will be out

Cheers mate, haven't been taking much notice of other councils recently but may head back over to see what's around, yeah 72 is a recycler so I was a little surprised to see it on garbage even in Mortdale that day
