@@Popebott34 Yeah that's just a crybaby excuse from Penn fans. For one they wiped it all off him before the round started just like when Silva took the vaseline off his face and put it on his chest and shoulders. Second, that was inbetween the 3rd and 4th round after GSP had already beaten the piss out of BJ and taken him down at will for 3 rounds. Thirdly, BJ had his mommy lawyer took GSP to court for whooping his preppy ass so bad but BJ and his mommy lost the case and GSP was cleared of any wrong doing. Fourthy, BJ commited a WAY bigger foul against GSP in the first round of their first fight when he poked him in the eye so bad he cut GSP's eyeball and GSP needed surgery after the fight. If your going to mention that you midas well mention Nick Diaz claiming GSP cheated by having someone poison his water, it's a ridiculous cry baby excuse. In fact, it's that very cry baby excuse that promted GSP to make this bit mocking BJ and cheating because literally everyone knew it ws nothing more than a crybaby and his fruitcake fans being sore losers.

Fact is, on the ground in he grip of things, the vaseline would have went on both fighters, making it hard also for GSP to fight. Second, after it was discovered that the corner man greased up GSP, the commisionner (who has the final say) purposfully dried up GSP. And if you look afterwards they kept coming back to the corner to make sure it wasn't happening. So all in all there was only one round, maybe 2 our of the 5 where GSP was greased.

NOt just legs and arms, anytime the opponent will bring his arms inside (in between the bodies) it will spread to the chest, if he tries and block shots to the head, and he touches his head, it will spread to the head, not to mention GSP arms and his own legs, making his own grip harder.

opponent legs and arms. GSP fought a smart fight, he never gave up dominant position and pummeled the Prodigy, but sadly, his corner rubbed him with vaseline changing minute details which affected the overall layout of the fight. That is the science of fighting, just one small step or movement can completely alter a fight.

and yes he was winning the second fight but as we have seen before a submission finish is just seconds away and that was pretty much his only chance of winning other than maybe a KO which didnt seem likely and since the grease was there he wasnt able to control from the bottom to even attempt a sub

BJ Penn was underrated. He was a small welterweight better off in the lightweight division. GSP was a HUGE welterweight fought in middleweight and was still good sized.

I'm saying that it would be hard also for GSP because the arms of BJP went over his back picked up the substance and then when trying to move in the clucth it would have put it on himself also, making it harder for GSP to grab BJP.

I'd say it's pretty clear GSP was on PEDs. His protesting I think is a result of his crew being ahead of testing, till they were not, and he retired.

He did VADA testing before the UFC hired USADA fool. VADA's testing is WAY more stingent than USADA's. If you pass VADA testing then you will very easily pass USADA testing. The main differences are that VADA will come take samples much more often than USADA will and USADA will only take urine not blood sometimes. VADA takes both every single time and they test for everything USADA tests for as well as stuff USADA doesn't test for and doesn't ban outside of competition.

okay. Gsp is a great fighter, I believe he would have beat BJ. But the reality is foul play was involved, whether by accident or whatever, and that affected the fight in whatever minute way. Should have been a no contest.

If you watch some other interviews you can kind of see how GSP uses psychological "warfare" on his opponents.... It is actually kind of wild. He talked about how to exploit dudes with good reflexes by feigning a lot. It will wear them out quicker....

@hyroglyphx No, I respect where you're coming from but personally, I don't believe GSP cheated. Phil Nurse may have cheated but GSP didn't ask for him to put vaseline on him. Either way, it was the cornerman's fault and GSP definitively dismantled Penn. Again, just my opinion.
