After having lived in New Mexico and traveled in that area where she lived....I completely understood her love of and desire to never leave that place. The land is truly magical. I shall return one day again...so mote it be.

Fuck off. Stop moving her cause this racist old bitch painted some meaningless pictures. She and her movement destroyed our culture. Read the benta eliser bio on her. We are sick of you old turquoise lovers moving her and destroying our culture

Amazing! I dreamed of becoming a famous writer in nyc. But when that didn’t happen, it resonated that Georgia moved from Ny to New Mexico, the beautiful landscape will keep me here!

I love Georgia's straightforwardness and her amusement about people reading so much into her work. Her works and intentions are so simple, powerful and present that some people can't often just let them "be". As an artist who also enjoys forms and colors simply because they please me, I can relate. Thank you for posting this short clip. :)

She is a fascinating person who truly embraced what she wanted to do, to paint ... as she says, the things which she collects with the idea of painting them, pleases her.

I didn't know she stayed in Lake George. I love her. Such a peaceful soul. There is a rumor that my son is a decendant of her family. My son's name is Keefe. His grandfather's name was george keefe Jackson. He came from the O'Keeffe's.

Regal, straightforward, kind and loving, cat-like. Forgiving and understanding of the enthusiastic puppy-like people she has to deal with more than she wants to. Her world view is obviously unique, somewhat, but realistic. She knows she has to operate in a 3D world with the rest of us. Many old people who are as far outside of the pattern as she is are cranky and bitter

I believe that this 1977 documentary was made by Perry Miller Adato who has made a number of works about women artists. The video is available for purchase on Amazon and I think it is very disrespectful to the filmmaker to present bits of her film like this, without even naming her as the filmmaker. Why not refer readers to the video, instead?
