I'm 2 years late to the comment, but absolutely. I am deathly afraid of snakes. Terrified. Will have a pure melt down if I see one in person... but I HATE to see them dead. It makes me so upset. Even though I'm afraid of them, I respect them. They're needed in the environment and in nature and they're really incredible creatures. Whenever I see a dead one in the road it breaks my heart (as would any other dead animal). I hate them, but I will never ever kill one on purpose or bother one if I don't need to.

When you post the name of the snakes, you have either venomous or harmless appear under the name. Just wondering if you should add a third category for the cranky snakes that like to bite, since some of them are not exactly harmless. You could call them “pissy” or “bitey”, etc.
@sparkers704 жыл бұрын
From what I've seen, water snakes are the grumpiest "harmless" species but there have been many of all species that were pretty chill. And bites are about as harmless as bites from a domestic cat or dog, really!

One thing I hope you're aware of if you are bitten by a harmless snake to the point of bleeding - - keep the bite out of stagnant water where there would be a chance of picking up a flesh-eating disease - - necrotizing fasciitis, the medicos call it.
