CEO & President, Allison Ashe, of Wellroot Family Services addresses the challenges faced by nearly 700 youth exiting foster care in Georgia each year, left to navigate the complexities of adulthood alone.
However, amidst these challenges, there's newfound hope through the Fostering Success Tax Credit, also known as the Qualified Foster Child Donation Credit. Through this initiative, Georgia taxpayers can direct their taxes to Wellroot, aiding in the prevention of poverty and homelessness for transitioning youth.
With an initial annual cap of $20 million, donations received through the program fuel our Transitional Living Program, offering essential guidance and support to these young adults. Notably, participating taxpayers receive a 100% tax credit to their state income tax bill for their contributions.
But our mission doesn't stop there. We encourage you to explore other avenues of support, as your financial contributions are instrumental in our quest to provide children, young adults, and families with the stability and security of a healthy home environment. Together, let's make a difference and build a brighter future for those in need.
