We tried to to book the tickets on the South Caucus Railways website, but as you'll see that didn't work very well.

Thanks for sharing travel tips. Is that train departing every night from Tbilisi to Yerevan?

When we went, it departed on odd numbered days. Seat 61 has the best info www.seat61.com/georgia-armenia-and-azerbaijan-by-train.htm#Tbilisi_or_Batumi_to_Yerevan

i think Georgian State Railways have a mobile app and I think I would chose that first. I think they have an English aspect to their app. Though I think going to the ticket office is probably the best move as you also get to know where the station is etc.

This is a good tip. The problem is the Tbilisi Yerevan train is run by the Armenian railways not the Georgian Railways.

When we went (April 2024) the trains wifi was not working.
