3 жыл бұрынRaphael Warnock, the pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, and incumbent Republican Kelly Loeffler take part in the only debate of the runoff at the Atlanta Press Club and made possible by Georgia Public Broadcasting.
Both U.S. Senate seats in Georgia have entered a runoff, with no candidate receiving the necessary majority to win a statewide election in November. Georgia is one of the only states to require a majority (often referred to as "50+1" for fifty percent plus one vote) in order to successfully be elected. Therefore, Jon Ossoff and David Perdue will take part in a runoff for the seat currently held by Perdue, and Kelly Loeffler and Raphael Warnock will take part in a special election runoff for the seat currently occupied by Loeffler, who was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp as the replacement for Johnny Isaakson, who retired in December 2019 due to health concerns.

Socialism looks like universal free public schooling (K-12), public transportation funded by the state, Medicare/Medicaid, social security, publicly funded police, publicly funded libraries, and a federal reserve which are all BLASPHEMOUS! In all seriousness, people scream “Socialist/Communist!” because of how the Cold War Era trained people to view people with these labels. Even the Left is guilty of screaming “Fascist/Nazi!” when the recipient of these labels is nowhere near reflective of these terms. Bottom line is that we need to stop name calling and instead have civil debates on what each of us look forward to in the future and try to find common ground with one another. Recent exchanges have been fueled with emotion and sensationalism which has caused the divide between us to expand even farther.

Not to be rude here, but as a nurse I would have liked a drug test immediately prior to this debate. Kelly Loeffler would not have passed it. She’s on an anti anxiety drug fir sure.

I am a critical care health care professional and your comments are a disgrace! Accusing someone of taking drugs is unacceptable. Shame on you! Loeffler answered questions calmly AND intelligently. She politely asked for permission to respond each time. Radical libs don't even recognize how a professional carries themselves. Take some notes!

somebody for sure taught her that people listening to her are dumb and that she needs to keep repeating herself hoping that would be the only thing people remember about her debate 😂 Also I still can't figure out how any church member would be radical if all that a church preach is just to make us realize the humane side of us humans. To be kind to each other. To be hopeful. To stand up against unfairness. To share the shelter of a roof known as church. To ask for forgiveness. Seems weird that anybody would attack a reverend like that just cause he is running for Senate as a Democrat. Does she say Pope is radical as well? 🙄 On a side note...OMG! you can see that she is trembling through her words. Not sure how she had a successful career before she became Senator. She is definitely out of her comfort zone...maybe she realizes that not everything can be bought with money? 😅 She is just appalling. I think Teachers are best Candidate for running as Senator. They are kind enough to take care of our kids, smart enough to understand people of all background and help them....probably doesn't come from wealth. we have more teachers run for elections? My favorite part was when she said Warnock would be a "rubber stamp for Chuck Schumer," which proved that not only is she just reciting rehearsed lines, but she copied Perdue's notes.
