That’s what super impressive, it’s the lack of left over material, thats huge! That makes life 10000% easier, the guys who are cleaning Washington beach sands with that heavy fine gold sand will love this! Can’t wait to showcase it on all the different cons I get worldwide! Multi sluice hog mats huge game changer

What a great video. Would love to see these in action in the field. Sitting at the ends of a large sluice and seeing how much more gold capture there would be. Good luck with future testing.

Love your videos and perspectives and testing of your products on gold retrieval , definitely going to be purchasing a sluice this spring and look forward to working with your equipment that you have poured your soul and heart into . I have never panned for gold but has been a interest in the back of my mind, this week I've been knocked out of work for a week with the flu and have been you tubing a lot on the gold mining videos and has set my mind a fire with information and technique's. Look forward to trying several configurations of your mats.

I'm thinking maybe a 10 - 12 degree top and a 4 - 6 degree lower section would produce some really great capture and cleaning results. Great job Doc

Doc continues to think "outside the box" of closed minds concerning gold recovery. He reasons conservatively and never makes extravagant claims and mentions repratedly that this invention is to be used in addtion to other type mats and not an "end all-do all" in and of itself. Doc, I believe you have another winner!

Looking good Doc! It would be neat to see the percentages of capture you had on that last run for each section of mat and overall capture percentage. If you need someone to do some testing for you, I'd be glad to ;)

Hi Doc, have you ever tried making a wave mat using the cross section of an aeroplane wing as a template, the trailing thin section facing in the direction that the water is flowing, it would be interesting to see how it would work. Thanks for the very informative and interesting videos.

Thanks for the video Doc. Can you do a capture rate video: side by side results of your different mate types with sluices running a singular type and one combination sluice?> all same pitch, same material, and same GPH?

Very interesting Doc. How that fine gold drops reminds me of humid air approaching a mountain range. On the approach the air is forced to rise so needs to dump some density. Heaviest rain on the front side. A rain shadow exists on the Lee of the mountain. Your wave acts like a skimmer - cutting that bed load out of the profile. What if the grooves in the front of the wave actually had slots into a cavity so the gold was constantly dropping through and stored in a reservoir? There is area in the Lee side where no gold is dropping to create some sort of storage area in that low pressure zone. Great innovation.

Where a high plain is on top of a mountain the flat topography can reengage the atmosphere and strip more moisture. If the convex curve was toped with a linear surface that angled back down rather than the reverse curve, you might push that gold shadow further down the mat.

I'm going to LDMA Oconee camp in early August 2021 with grandkids. LDMA director, Ken Flood, is graciously going to let us use the camp's GoldHog Highbanker (I don't know model but will try and get more info). I will experiment as you suggest and try to blow out mats then reset to capture per your videos. I will capture all tailings less than 1/8" with several sets of screens for later processing when I get home (Apopka, FL). This will be my 1st time using a highbanker. We will be working about 6-7 yards of material that Ken says is from their new premium material area. When I get home i will modify a Keene stream sluice to capture fine gold from tailings. Question: should i purchase wave mats or washer mats or both for this final home cleanup? Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Doc, which of the mats was used in this demo. Wave, or big wave? Also, I've got a commercial 8" w two side boxes. I'm figuring that these would be great for my side boxes but maybe I could implement them elsewhere. How might I discuss this with someone in the "know"? Thank you, Doc, keep up the good work!

Sounds like a lot of the functionality of this setup is dependent on laminar flow. You guys ever consider doing a collab with Destin of SmarterEveryDay? He loves laminar flow more than you love gold, and that's a lot.

Nice videos! Question: How could you capture flour gold this small without classifying it down as fine as your concentrates? I just want to shovel it in and, let the sluice sort it out BUT still hold on the ultra fines. Is that even possible?

The love of my life and I were watching "Gold Rush" last night and she asked me if they got all the gold out of the paydirt they processed. My response was that they were probably getting 80% at best. So she asked me why they did not get most of the other 20%. My response was they did not have a guy named Doc from Georgia on their crews.

Doc, what if your profile was 1/2 a teardrop with your ribs on it rather than a hemisphere? There would be less mixing still as it would be more aerodynamic ...give it a try. The rounded front of the teardrop facing into the stream of course...Bernie

Where could I get the tall legs you're using on your multi sluice like that? I'm setting up my multi sluice up with the extension just like that so I can run black sands on some Washington beaches this year. I'd like to see an adapter to for the stream sluice so I could transition the multi sluice into the stream sluice.
