It is a good start to learn Cantonese through speaking, and Malaysia sure has a variety of mixed cultures in both Eastern and Western.

Only been to Ipoh once, love the foods there and it's very cheap too. I stayed very near to the night market, just 2 street away. Love to visit there again someday

Seriously, ur wife spoke so well. Keep it up👍 Malaysian ppl really like hot sauce and spicy. Especially , dim sum must dip wiz hot sauce otherwise feel too plain. The best things in Malysia is you will never get starving no matter Day or night cos foods stalls, restaurants are everywhere and open till late. If after midnight we usually like to hang out wiz buddies at Mamak stall. Give it a try. Hope you guys have a wonderful trip in Malaysia ❤

Very good Cantonese. Well done! Did you not try "oh jien" means fried oyster in hokkien. It's very popular in Penang but you might get it in Ipoh hawker stall too.

You doing excellent in cantonese (for a blond hair lady). I understood everything you said. It's OK with a slight accent. We speak English with an accent too.
