"Get Ready" is a Motown song written by Smokey Robinson, which resulted in two hit records for the label: a U.S. No. 29 version by The Temptations in 1966, and a U.S. No. 4 version by Rare Earth in 1970. Their 45 RPM single version sold in excess of a million U.S. copies, earning Rare Earth a Gold certification from the RIAA. (Wikipedia)

Saw them in '70, they opened for Sly and the family At the Garden in NYC , he was late and they played 40 minutes of this and Heard it thru the Grapevine. great show!

63 now. Bought the live double album when it came out. Yeah the knapsack cover. Still got it with plastic cover. Best music came out in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. Glad to have grown up in that era., when the music was real and your spirit was free loving. From pmburg, south Africa. The best years of our lives ❤️😊

Ah......a Texas two-lane highway in a 64 Impala SS at Warp 2 (that's all she would do) waiting for the Kerrrr....Chunk! of the 8 track changing tracks. Many a mile to this with a huge smile on my face. I Just Want to Celebrate was our theme song during two-a-day football practice during those hot August days before school started.

My Brother introduced me to the music of this band among others. I got a chance to see them play and it was a fantastic show. I have the memories and the music to remember my brother. What a great band. When ever I think of Rare Earth I also think of Grand Funk Railroad. They played a lot together and saw them at the same show. They sure don’t make music like this nowadays.

I was 13 years old in 1970,everyone was a drummer or guitar 🎸 player, but when I first heard John Persh's bass solo on this album, that's when I picked up the bass .Rare Earth is a bad asa live jam band!! I'm glad l got to see them at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, California, when I was a J R. In H.S great concert!!

Brother and were In Reno in the early 80's for the air races. Walked into a casino and look whos playing at the night club! These guys were much better then what they get credit for! Excellent show!

I was just leaving high school when this came out and I was on this like all dancers were. You want to see the young at it, this is what called us to get up and move. Outta sight! I don't think the young generation can dance to this at all...
