I’ve always had a special spot in my heart for President Ford. As part of my, then, 5th grade class, we were all to write either President or Mrs. Ford and ask them questions we had for them, and to request a photo if you wanted one. I chose to write to President Ford and asked him his views on the ERA rights, then a hot topic. I also requested an informal photo of him and his family. Sure enough, I received a letter back from the White House, answering all my questions and enclosed was a photo of him and his family! I still have that letter and photo and it is a cherished memory of my childhood.

Jordan, this was a great broadcast. We always enjoy your visits to the Presidential Museums/Libraries, yet this one really impressed. There seemed to be a welcoming informality about it and by the time you had finished your tour, we felt we had been given an insight into President Ford - the man, his life and his family. It made your visit to the gravesite all the more special. Once more, many thanks Jordan for introducing us to all these impressive locations.

Thank you for doing this❤ when I was 12 years old in 1977, growing up in Huntington Beach. My mom and stepdad took me and my sister to a Gerald Ford rally in Orange County when he was running against Jimmy Carter and John Wayne was there and I remembered looking up and thinking wow he is really tall lol my stepdad was a huge John Wayne fan and I remember we had a really good time that day, it was my first big introduction to politics and then I remember we went and had Chinese food afterwards lol. And I’ve been a lifelong Republican voter ever since.

WOW ! WELL DONE ! That is a Great recreation of the Oval Office. I learned things about President, Ford I didn't know. The last Oval Office exhibit I saw was the Raegan Oval office. They had a full scale Oval Office on exhibit here in Phx. Az. at one of our State Fairs. It was Perfect exept for one thing. The Jar of Jellybeans on the President's Desk was wrong.... Mr. Reagan liked Black Jellybeans. The ones on this exhibit were mixed ! The next time we visited, they had the Black Jellybeans there. 😊

Good gosh. Now that "we" are going through this stuff "again," I can't help but think of the two attempts on President Ford's life in September of 1975. Or the one attempt on Reagan in 1981. The pardon finished his presidential chances. Too many people were too angry about the behavior of the Nixon White House that they couldn't see why ending Watergate and allowing the nation to move on was best. I always liked Gerald Ford, but wished he was better at looking more directly into the cameras and talking straight to the American people. He might have overcome the fallout of the pardon if he had. I am so glad that the new aircraft carrier was named for him. He deserved it. The Ford vs Carter election was the first time I got to vote.

I don’t know if this was a conscious decision you made, but using a “groovy 70’s” font for the thumbnail was a smart touch, since he was president during that decade.

It's funny...I live here and have never gone to see any of this stuff you have been showing of Michigan.

The museums are far more profitable than the research libraries in these places.
