armor piercing is good on iron sword (because enemies in heavy armors are your most dangerus enemies )on silver have less value-monsters dont have armors so you can upgarde your silver sword

fun fact: if you did the lighthouse contract after spending a few more hours on the story, the prison part would not have occured. another fact: you can actually pay your debt to the prisoner that helped you escape by stopping near the inn where yennefer sent you before to pick up your clothes.

Oh man, The Cave of Dreams is one of my favorite side quests in Skellige, so excited to see you do it eventually. Great episode as always, Ace! :)

Hey, about the armors. Type of armor in Witcher3 doesn't affect speed or dodges but it affects stamina for signs regeneration. Light armor is less armor and higher regeneration and heavy is high armor and less regeneration.

That green fog around bandits is poison from your sword or abilities, poison ignores armor like in most games, useful against humans but against monsters not so much.

Potion recipes come from FORMULAS you find. It happens that you found the enhanced one before the normal. But.. you cant make the enhanced without the normal one so.. what was surprising is that you did not find the normal one, but it's perfeclty normal to start the game and go straight to a chest containing a superior option before even making lower versions of it, its just that you "gained the knowledge" on how to make it.

The "fart smell" on the enemies means you're poisoning them with your blade.

Been binge watching this playthrough at night before bed. All caught up now. This episode took me by suprise as I was never thrown in jail, and learned why after reading the comments. Can't wait to see the next one and this Cave of Dreams quest! Everyones got their hints and suggestions. The only one I would add is that I'd like to see you vary your attacks a little more. Mix it up some. Slash, slash, Igni for example. Mixing signs and melee is the way to go. As much as you've said you desire to up your Quen, you really should, and not just for swaying dialog. It's very effective for fighting also. You can make an enemy turn on his mates and attack them! That's my 2 cents, but I really enjoy watching your playthrough, and as I said, looking forward to the next one!

Heavy armor have best defence (exept defence from monsters -that is only in witchers armors ) but stamina (this is need for sprint and whirl attack ) regeneration is very slow .For example light armors are opposite:very fast stamina regeneration but very weak defence .For now you must choose what armor is best for you and ... go look witcher gear from that armor type (feline school-light armor, griffin -medium armor and ursine/bear -heavy armor. For now you can change anything from armors types but much later in game you will have some options for that .

You did find a leshen earlier in one of the earlier episodes, but he was glitched out because he didn't summon wolves or ravens, he didn't teleport, and he didn't use any melee. So he was just kind of sitting there howling as you killed him I was kind of laughing cuz I never fought a bugged lesson before.

You dont destroyed totems first so dont have fight with Leshen-you did ritual and this is consequence your decision -sometimes in Witcher 3 right sequence activities is very important because Leshen are guards of forest and wild nature . Fight with Leshen is also good because good loot is need in your journey . I m very proud of your current playstyle -you showed us 2 diferent choices and this is very good .

When fighting wolves use igni. Wolves are weak to it and often start on fire and take huge damage from it. Aard is great against humanoids for a stagger and one shot kill. You're very skilled in combat and it would be nice to see you use more of Geralts toolset! Also use Yrden on wraiths and spirits of any kind. And you can target lock enemies like BotW. I see you sometimes jumping from target to target or not hitting what you want. I don't find target locking great in most games, but it can be useful in TW3 at times.

Yo boats have free fast travel points called harbors. Very useful in skellige

You asked what other are doing while watching/listening and watching here and there. For me it's a weekend night, while I animal and house sit for my parents. I am actually drinking and playing Witcher 3 for the 7th time? (They have added more things since I last played) I love the videos. The light house quest can have some alternate ending depending on WHEN you do it. That's all I will say about it. Also when ever you're fighting wraiths make sure to use Yrarden. It make their movement slower and makes them comporeal as opposed to non-corporeal. You said you watch Star Trek so I'm guessing you know corporeal means solid, so it makes it so you can actually connect fully with your silver swords swings as opposed to making that weird sound and doing a fraction of the damage.

Amazing episode of the Witcher journey! The woodland spirit quest is one of the greater Skellige quests, personally very enjoyable. Excited for kore episodes to come. Was just studying while watching btw :]

One other thing, you may have done it off screen I'm not aware, cuz I've only watched the KZfaq edits and I'm new to your channel, but if there's some stubborn douche with a shield you can use axii to f*** with his mind and get them to lower his guard. It is a good way to get a few good his on the the bandit leaders and such that always have their shields up.

Yah I actually read while I watch your vids. I just turn it down a little bit. It's relaxing... I do have one small request. Check out the scenery more. Skellige is really beautiful.

Forget about signs, get refrshement, and at 58:00 the combat would have been easier if you drank decoctions that get you regain health each hit, OR bombs again, I saw you skip through the dreagon one, it fits well with igni

*Jorund* is really a good NPC character one Geralt Personally Likes as he says, he can actually live if you complete the Main Quest "KING'S GAMBIT" and do the Lighthouse contract thereafter. *Funfact:- Near the inn where Jorund gives the contract if you meditate in Night Time there unlocks a Secret Quest the rarest in Skellige called "Call of the Wild".*

This is a Decision-Quest Specific music, its called "In the Heart of the Woods theme", Here he did the Leshen Contract following the Old Way, Hence , this music Plays thereafter. Very Rare Indeed.
