When is spinal surgery really necessary? When can it be avoided? Ross Hauser, MD reviews the Digital Motion X-ray in a middle-aged woman with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome who is suffering from worsening symptoms of GERD, migraines, fainting, brain fog, and more. Her case demonstrates how DMX is used to help decide when Prolotherapy is the preferred option and when certain symptoms may indicate that neck surgery is necessary.
Caring Medical Florida is located in Fort Myers, Florida in the US. We would love to see how we can help you if you are suffering from neck pain, migraines, balance issues, or other neurological symptoms without definitive answers. Often, we are able to pinpoint if and how the symptoms may be related to one primary cause in the neck, as well as other lifestyle factors. While we treat patients who travel to our center from all around the globe, we are not able to take on all cases. If you are looking for our team to review your case and possibly see you in our center, you can contact us through www.caringmedi..., call us at 239-308-4773, or email info@caringmedical.com.

The video represents only the featured person/people’s experience or opinion. Every therapy/treatment has patients who experience varying levels of success and failure. Results may not be the same from patient to patient, even with a similar diagnosis, as the body’s internal status is unique to each individual patient.

Gotta say this is pure genius. I would say it sounds like a whole bunch of fluff with loose associations drawn if I wasn't experiencing it myself in an almost identical presentation and just was existing as my scientific background self (where we mostly study the typical rather than the atypical presentations and thus the connections you draw would seem very loosely linked--but that's exactly what EDS and other heritable CTDs are quite literally). This really hit home and clicked and I think you just helped me crack the code in my current near identical symptoms that are confusing everyone around me and ravaging my whole life. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 🥺

After a quadruple antibiotic treatment and New generation PPI, most of my symptoms have greatly reduced. Gastritis also plays a big role in these inflammation and may be a silent disease. I'm from Pakistan, and since my childhood I have this problem of headache on one side of my head, mostly just above my eyes. When this happens, I hate light, noise, feels dizzy. It may gets worse as the day passes. I noted a few things, it's mostly related to my stomach. When I have a good digestion, it doesn't or very less chance of happening. I visited doctor a few times and they don't seem to diagnose it fully. Over the counter tablets hardly worked. I was able to relieve the pain by trying to sleep for an hour or two. When I'm relieved from this pain, I feels very active, fresh and energetic.

I wish I could see you but I am in Ohio… I have many of the same issues. My neck curves the wrong direction, I found this out many years ago after an X-ray at my old chiropractor. No idea how this happened, maybe as a child? I have suffered with migraines since I was a child. Now I have brain fog at almost 35 years old, lots of stomach issues, dizziness, fatigue… I just feel awful most of the time and my neck pain is to the point where I just want to rest my head any time I can. I have three children and I just can’t keep up and I feel like my life is passing me by. I wish I could find relief and answers 😭

Hi there. I started having trouble with what felt like sinuses. I ended up regurgitating, and two weeks go by and I’m fine, but then I having trouble breathing, heartburn, fast heart rate, shakiness in legs, brain fogginess, fatigue. I also became constipated. I went to the hospital and they said I have inflammation in my lungs and they put me on prednisone. Which helps with my breathing, but now I get heartburn and I’m belching all the time. I don’t know what else is wrong with me

Hi Maddy, Really sorry to hear about your recent onset of these issues. What you're saying makes sense to us and often requires a more comprehensive look into someone's overall health. Glad you are doing some research and exploring possible options. As you see in this video and others on our channel, our office specializes in seeing patients who have all of these symptoms and a lot of others determine if there is a structural reason for their symptoms related to cervical spine instability that affects the vital vagus nerves, arteries, and veins that travel through the neck. If you would like our team to review your case in more detail and see if you sound like a good fit for our center, we'd be happy to help. We wish you all the best as you navigate potential options to resolve your symptoms and get your health back on track. Take care, Maddy.

I am thinking this is me. I had strange health problems since 2008. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure when I graduated in 2008. I had so many symptoms and I went to many doctors, and I am still have symptoms. Right now is a new symptom. I am dizzy and lightheaded for over a week now. I had blood tests and the doctor said I am a little dehydrated, which does not make sense anyway. I am getting off of my amlodipine and switching to propranolol this weekend. So far, the propranolol is doing better maintaining my blood pressure. I am still lightheaded. I suspect it is sinuses because when I went to the dentist, they kept saying I have serious sinuses in my head. I had no clue sinuses could be this bad. I wonder if these are the root of all my health problems since 2008.

I've tried out NAD+. Not sure if I have EDS but I have these symptoms of it. My boyfriend does too with hyperextend ability. He was suggested by a doctor that he has EDS. My migraines are going away and my body is feeling much better. NAD+ increases energy expenditure in the mitochondria. It helps you age better. It's only been a few weeks and we both feel better. It takes 8 weeks to be fully effective and we have been on it about 2 weeks. I highly recommend for anyone struggling with any progressive disease or condition. Spread the word please. I also don't recommend trying to stop any other therapy or treatment you're doing.

Hi Lafi Burgess, Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about your symptoms. They all make sense to us as far as the types of cases we treat here where these are among many symptoms that can be caused by cervical spine instability and begin to show changes in the integrity of the cervical spine. Sounds like you're already experiencing that. You may have already seen some of our webinars on vagus nerve and cervical instability but we get into much more detail on gastroparesis and other idiopathic symptoms that have connections with cervical instability and impaired vagus nerve function. Here is a link to one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qJ2gqcKHvpPMdoU.html as well as a shorter video specifically regarding nausea and gastroparesis: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y-ByhtBqtNvXnJc.html Hope these may be of help to you in any way. We wish you all the best in health and navigating your options to get to the bottom of why you are experiencing these progressive symptoms. If you would like our team to review your case in detail and possibly see you in our testing and treatment center, feel free to reach out to us directly for a case intake form. Take care.

Hi Julia - we are so sorry to hear that you are suffering with this as well as POTS, however, it's really awesome that you are looking into some treatments options for your chronic pain. Here is an article that Dr. Hauser wrote on the different types of treatment options for something like degenerative disc disease among other spinal instabilities. www.caringmedical.com/prolotherapy-news/treating-lumbar-instability-primary-cause-low-back-pain-prolotherapy-injections/ Though it might not be reassuring, low back pain, for the most part, is caused by a nonspecific problem that can be difficult to diagnose. You are more than welcome to contact our office to potentially become a patient - we would love to help you on your healing journey. Wishing you all the best!

The pinched nerves in my neck almost the same location and also lower back and the bone spurts. I've been suffering from GERD for years, pain in the side of my head, heavy tingly left hand. Many times I would be sitting or washing dishes beside the sink and would feel faintly. I need to really thing because I feel so foggy. I wish you were here in Toronto Canada.

I woke up with acid in my mouth. I had to run in the bathroom and throw it up. I get this a lot. I also have pain in my neck, shoulders and massive headaches at the same time. I even take tablets from the doctor to try and stop it. I also have been diagnosed with hypermobility. I don't think my doctor with bother to help me further.

Hi sienna, Sorry to hear about your symptoms! Glad you are looking into what could be happening. We'd love to help you. In our opinion, these symptoms frequently have a structural cause that relates back to the vagus nerve, as it's the primary nerve that innervates the organs associated with these functions. If you would like to delve a lot deeper into this topic and how cervical spine dysstructure can create these symptoms and how we treat the cause here, you may want to check out our vagus nerve webinar series: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edSdqJd9vJ_Oimw.html Or this shorter video on cervical instability and the multiple conditions it is involved with: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n6-Xo9uJtrSxY4E.html We'd be happy to review your case in more detail and see if you sound like a good candidate for our center. Hi Will, Thanks for your question and sorry to hear about all of your symptoms. The various devices that people use for hanging or traction can end up aggravating symptoms in the people who have true underlying cervical instability, which is a ligament issue, so it comes down to strengthening/restoring the integrity of the ligaments and the curvature of the neck as well. Ligaments are what hold bone to bone and when they are damaged or overstretched, like a rubber band that has lost its elasticity, then that becomes the primary root cause of the issue that needs addressing, in our experience. We talk a lot about the other symptoms you've listed in our vagus nerve webinar series and other videos on cervical instability if you really want to dive deep into the topic. We wish you all the best in health and getting to the root cause of your symptoms so you can resolve them and get on with your life. If you feel that you would like our help in the future, you can always feel free to reach out to us directly. Take care, Will.
