A quick presentation of the AEG electric radiator from 1939.
Today I went to one of my favorite flea markets in Warsaw's Olimpia and found, among others: German AEG radiator manufactured in 1939. The device is quite nicely preserved, with original paint and a small amount of rust. On some examples of such radiators that I know of, there was an inscription "FURNICULUS" on the back under the handle, but it is not there here. The regulator allowed one or both heating coils to be turned on. The spirals are in the radiator, but they fell out of their holders and will require reassembly. Under the socket for connecting the cable there is the AEG logo (sometimes there was also the inscription "Berlin" next to it, which is not present here), the serial number, data on the voltage of 220 V and the maximum power of 1000 W, and the VDE mark (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker), i.e. the Society of German Electrotechnologists and the date 1939. In terms of construction, for example, Polish pre-war radiators from the Warsaw factory of the Borkowski Brothers BRABORK or post-war radiators ŻELGOSPRZĘT from Cieszyn were similar.
