President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier received CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
The meeting at the German Embassy in Ankara was closed to the press and lasted 50 minutes.
In addition to Özel, the CHP delegation included Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke, Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, Deputy Chairpersons Deniz Yücel, Yalçın Karatepe, Gökçe Gökçen, Gül Çiftçi, İlhan Uzgel and Istanbul MP Namık Tan.
Steinmeier was accompanied by German Ambassador to Ankara Jurgen Schulz.

Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin saw off Steinmeier and his accompanying delegation. The plane that will take Steinmeier and his delegation to Berlin departed from Ankara at 19:36.
Steinmeier, within the scope of his 3-day visit to Turkey, came to Istanbul on April 22 and visited Sirkeci Railway Station, the point where labor migration to Germany started 63 years ago. Steinmeier was welcomed by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and CHP Deputy Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın, and then visited the Railway Museum with İmamoğlu and Istanbul Governor Davut Gül.
President Steinmeier also gave an invitation to names from the business world, journalists, politicians and sports world at the historic summer residence of the German Embassy in Ankara in Tarabya.
On April 23, Steinmeier visited the German logistics company DHL at Istanbul Airport and received information from officials. Steinmeier, who then went to Gaziantep, visited Gazikent Primary School and made various visits in Nurdağı district of Gaziantep, which was affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes on February 6, 2023.
Steinmeier, who arrived in Ankara yesterday evening at 20:48, visited Anıtkabir today and met with Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş at Ankara University (AU) Faculty of Language and History-Geography.
President Erdoğan and Steinmeier
