Hey mate! I know how you feel. I lost my little Jack Russel last September. She was 15 years old. Even to this day, that still makes me sad. The pain you feel will always be a part of you but with time, it will get easier and eventually, I will learn to live with that pain. After a while, instead of crying when thinking about your dog, you will smile because you will realize that you had the chance to meet that dog. « Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened »

@@wayne6777 We all have different ways of mourning our loved ones. For a long time, when I came home, I almost expected to see her welcoming me. I know that there is nothing that I can say or do that will make you feel better but I do have a piece of advice for you. What really helped me is focusing more on the good memories that I had with my dog: the walks, the times we played, the hours we spent watching TV together… . Even if I made mistakes with my dog, I did my best and I gave her all my love. I don’t know you but you seem like a decent person and I am sure that your dog had an amazing life with you. He lived for 20 years, that is a sign that you took good care of him. In the end, you can tell yourself that you did your best for your dog. You gave him love, you made his existence a blessing. Don’t focus on the very few bad memories or the things that you regret doing or not doing with your dog because I am sure that it is nothing compared to the joy you gave him. He left this world knowing that he was loved. That is the best gift you can give. I wish you all the best in this difficult time.

According to the owner these dogs lived together for 6 years and slept on top of each other every night. My question to you is: would you use your full capacity to beat up and kill your little brother if he gets fresh with you ? And you apparently havent done your research about wolves and German Shepherds. If wolves could defeat German Shepherds the herd owners would have never protected their herds from wolves by letting a German Shepherd to guard them like they have been doing traditionally for decades. The names says it all '' A German Shepherd''
@thealien19542 жыл бұрын
@Jack Maguire And your little brother wouldn't dare to yell at a stranger with your size the way he yells at you because he knows you wouldn't hurt him but a stranger might. If a smaller dog growls at a German Shepherd in most cases the German Shepherd ignores him and walk along. I know because I have raised and lived with them all my life. But if that dog is big enough and worth fighting with the German Shepherd would not hesitate a moment to put him in his place.

I've had both a German Shepherd and Jack Russell Terrier as pets in the past, just not at the same time. The German Shepherd (a female) was quite large but very gentle and sweet, although she would bark at any other dog that came within 30 feet of the house. The Jack Russell was much more territorial (barked at people and dogs), but was very much a Mama's Boy, as I'd often find him curled up in my mother's lap. Our current dog (a dachshund-beagle mix) has a mix of these traits, as she will bark at anyone who knocks on our door but freely offers her belly up for tummy rubs.

JRTs are a hunting breed, they were bred to go in foxhole after quarry and either flush them out or attack and bring them out. They can hunt hogs too, instinctively JRTs attack the face of prey and that's what makes other Dogs fear them.
@JeveGreen2 жыл бұрын
My family used to care for a JRT during the weekdays. Our own mix of similar size was mostly chill, didn't cause trouble except with particularly masculine dogs, but that JRT was a bundle of energy looking for an outlet. That guy would sometimes go after other dogs with ZERO hesitation, ESPECIALLY if they were bigger than him. And that's not even mentioning his fondness for chasing cats. It didn't help that I was a teen and inexperienced with dogs, to the point that I couldn't always control the guy even on a leash... It could be a real chore to walk that dog. But he was a good guy, even if he was a real tootie. Yet despite all of his stupid behavior, he's not only outlived our old dog by almost ten years, but he's still kicking today! His hearing and bladder control might be failing, but last I saw him a day ago he still seemed healthy enough at 16 years old! I like to joke that the old gabber might become the oldest dog to ever live, that he's gonna outlive his owner, stuff like that. JRTs might be small and bullish, but they're tough cookies. It's said that they sprint 'til they fall, and I might just believe it.

Absolutely no fear in those dogs. Also just to clarify Dudley jumped a fence to get at the other dog, and it took a few minutes for anyone to get into that garden to break it up, we didn't intentionally allow it to happen.

This is beautiful because it showcases the nature of both breeds. There is no “better” dog here. But in the end his instincts will prevail. And is not his fault but yours.

My sister had a Jack Russel who was like this with every dog he came across. Except my Staffy. She didn't take any of his shit and she would just stand over him until he submitted.

jack russells are fearless, but in a fight..im sorry he would barely put up a fight against a german shepherd XD

You’re spot on. I have a fearless JR. We call him Tommy TC (tough cunt) and he isn’t scared of anything and that scares me. If they ran from trouble they’d be ok because they’d be near impossible to catch but they don’t run from trouble. They run towards it. If a big dog got hold of my boy he’d be in trouble.

Mine lached onto a German sheperds neck and has jumped on to bulldogs ive aslo had friends of mine who's jack Russell's have gone and attacked wayyyy bigger dogs without hesitation.

@@seanpaddy5919 our jack bites the chops of my mother in law's American Staffs terrier who is about 3 times her size, but it's just sparring. Nevertheless our JRT is fearless.

My Jack Russell is CC. Best dog ever had. Loyal and will not bow down to a much larger dog. Plus, she kills any rodent or snake. Excellent family and home companion.

I have a Parsons Russel. ( essentially a slightly bigger Jack Russell ) she's a little angel, super inteligent, always there to greet me and follows me everywhere. I couldn't recommend a better small dog, as long as you've got the energy for them.

Rat terriers are awesome dogs as well. Unlike a JR, the rattie at least has an "off" switch. :-)

Small dogs can be aggressive its in their nature. I had a chihuahua and Shepherd as kid and they did same thing. Amazing how Shepherd keeps its cool. If they only knew how powerful they can be

The Shepherd knows he could win a real fight but thats not his intentions here he is playing its his pack mate.

Jack Russell Terriers are bad-ass dogs. Mine is a loveable mush with me, but if she sees another dog, she is at the end of her leash, growling and barking. The hackles on her back are up. She wants to attack. They know no limits and have no fear. I call her my Jack Russell Terror lmao!
@sagar16836 жыл бұрын
No Such Luck Let loose your fearless russell on big dogs then. He will then learn fear and respect. I find funny that small dogs owners are happy that their dog is fearless and aggressive but when dog growls or barks at their dog then all hell breaks lose.
@nosuchluck94776 жыл бұрын
John Don Right because responsible pet owners let their dogs attack other dogs. Smfh. It happens to be a trait of the breed and cannot be suppressed. Why don't you go somewhere else with your troll comments!
