Dont you love the personality he has grown into! All German Shepherds are so unique but so alike. I have never been so close to any of my dogs as I am now having worked at home for the last two years. I thought I knew all of my Shepherds well before but none have I known like the the pair I have now. Cherish that boy!

I couldn't love Zeus more if I tried .. he reminds me SO much of my GSD "Buddy" I lost in 2007. He loved to play and would have tears running down my face laughing at him. Cherish your boy, as I did mine ♥ I keep looping this, killing myself laughing. When you tell him he's grounded, I lost it .. what a wonderful place to be grounded to ;) I LOVE how he's such a talker. ♥

I'm so sorry for your loss. We have two. They are natural born protectors. They (unlike many humans) know the importance of pack i.e. family.

Had my sister's Germain Sheppard out for a walk and a girl was walking with her very much smaller German Sheppard quite a far distance away. He lost his shit and wanted the dog so bad. I literally had to crouch down in front of him and wrapped my arms around his neck and I was holding the chain that was around his neck. Then the damn chain almost slipped off his neck. I damn near had a heart attack!

Yes most GSDs are very leash reactive. The are incredibly strong so I completely understand your scare! Glad it didn’t escalate!

How about trying a harness. That would give you peace of mind with no surprises.

@@diananutt1517 YES!!!! I'm the fool who didn't use a harness lol That will never happen again. Thank goodness I'm a ruff girl because it took everything in me to hold that dog back. I'll never take him without the harness ever again. If he had got away and hurt that other dog and girl, that would be all on me. Plus he'd be put down. Never again without the harness! ❤

@ colleen parsons 🍀🌹🍀 The only way I came up with a harness was when our little 18# bundle of energy taught us he would slip his collar when excited. He looked like a small border collie and we chased him round and round a neighborhood of tightly-built homes. He finally let us catch him, so we were very lucky and nearly breathing our last breaths, while he had an ear to ear grin on his face!! So glad you were able to hold on to your baby, too! 😛🌿💗
