Credit goes to Isaak for giving an amazing vocal performance. Now if only the song was a little less generic and if the visuals were inspired, we could have been even better.

They are playing the full songs in the semis not just snippets.

@@TheMuserResolute Yes, that's a change for this year - they've slotted the Big 5 and host performances into the running order for the semis, just you can't vote for them.

This is my favorite driving song, and it's friendly for singing along. But yeah, no winner vibes. And good that they'll get to sing live on the semifinals.

Happy they overworked the beginning. And yes - they erase the word "shit". Nobody knows why... I think Isaak is a really good singer. As a musician he comes from the streets and now he takes his first steps in the music business. I think his only chance are the Jurys because of his great voice. "Always on the run" is on heavy rotation on the german radiostations right now - for that alone I'm happy for Isaak. One day he will become some kind of the german Lewis Capaldi and maybe a ballad like "Water to The Seeds" (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fcuTp5qDvL-sf58.htmlsi=FlLQhALadq3Q5iWA ) would be a better choice for ESC. But fingers cross he will not come last.

They changed it this year so the big 5 and also last years winner Sweden are also in the semi finals but not for voting, just performing. I like his voice and his energy!

I watched the rehearsals and I can say that Germany won't be last this year. Staging is sort of nice and there are worse songs. I would be surprised to see it higher than 20th, though, even if his voice is great.

Living in Germany, I have to say, I have the feeling that Germans in general don’t mind Eurovision, the way they choose the song, is just sad, some bad entrances, very late, I think? it was 22:30 in a Thursday, people are having dinner at 18-19 so most of them are in bed at this time . This song is playing constantly in the radio, and is great in the radio, but I bet most of people don’t know that it is their entry for Eurovision, nor is it said in the radio, at least for the 10 times I was in the car driving that this song came, they never said. Anyway I like it a lot, but there are so many other good songs, catchier ones, that it won’t stand out. But there are also worse entrances, so let’s hope for not a last place again. It will contribute to their indifference to Eurovision.

2019 Sisters - Sisters was not the best choice for me. My last place in the German Final. 3 good Songs from German Final: Lilly Among Clouds - Surprise Aly Ryan - wear your Love Makeda - the day Lilly was the best choice for me.

Sorry, das ist nicht wahr. Ich fand Ryks Lied sehr langweilig und die Bühnenshow sehr düster. Ich glaube auch nicht ,dass Ryks Lied viel Punkte beim ESC gebracht hätte.

Isaak wurde gewählt, er hat internationales Publikum und internationale Jurys überzeugt. Also akzeptiert unseren Kandidaten. Denn er ist toll, er hat eine Tolle Stimme, seine Performance ist emphatisch und emotional, und es geht um ihn als Sänger, nicht um das Übel für Deutschland zu starten. Ich beglückwünsche ihn zu seinem Mut. Stimmlich waren übrigens auch Lotl sehr gut. Wird das nicht von Europa anerkannt, ist es einfach unfair ihm gegenüber. Denn an seiner Stimme, seiner Botschaft ist nichts auszusetzen

You have no idea of how toxic the Eurofans are! And the worst are in fact the German Eurofans who don't miss any occasion to shit on Isaak. He is not my favorite, however, I was shocked to see the hate especially in the past days. The German media, the fans, even the German delegation/ the PR team - it almost seems as if they actively want to sabotage him. The staging though has been imrpoved massively. Isaak will start sitting in like a stylish living room that's on fire (actual fire, not just pyros) and for the last chorus he is accompanied by background singers. But of course Eurofans also complain that he is not moving enough etc. He just can't seem to do anything right for them, e.g. they also raged about his casual outfit in the national final, but when he shows up in a colourful suit on the turquiose carpet they hate on this as well.

The ESC (winning song) is not about a great singer or a great song. It´s more about great visuel entertainment while the song.

The biggest crime in ESC is to not be memorable. You can have a nice song, good vocals, get some radio play, nothing wrong with it but if it doesn't stand out there is no chance.

Yup! Isaak definitely has a great voice, but this will have trouble standing out amongst all the songs which were voted in to go to the finals

I don't know about last place, though. That slot is reserved for San Marino, that is, if they manage to qualify, which I fear they will.

I (as a German viewer) think it's a shame that weak songs are often sent to the ESC [Germany 2022: Rockstar] In 2023, blood and glitter was much better. Isak is also good, but as is often the case, he's too radio-friendly, but he's very good. But I already know that there will be the feeling again on Saturday like "Ya, it's Germany... wake me up when they're done" and that is so sad

Das Problem ist die deutsche Mentalität, wir Deutsche haben nun mal kein südländisches Temperament, gelten als eher steif und unflexibel. So sind wir halt 😃 das macht uns aus, also gibt es eher ruhige unaufällige Titel. Bei zu viel Extravaganz schüttelt der Deutsche den Kopf. Und das muss Europa verstehen. Wir sind nüchtern ohne chi chi. Versucht es einer anders, geht's komplett in die Hose. Siehe Jendrik. Ach wir sind schon ein unverstandenes Volk. 😅😅😅.
