Hello, We moved in berlin this month. We got registered, so should i wait for any notification from government for starting the school. Also my daughter is 9 yrs old and completed her 3 rd std in india. She is learning A1 german now, but now will she go to 4 th grade directly or will she have to repeat her grade.

Ma'am , what about kids who are already studying India , can we move them in between school terms? My son is studying in 1st standard currently and his age is 6 years. If we are moving to Germany in the month of OCT , DO I need to re-admit him to school from 1st grade again?

Hi Prashant, As per your conversation in message it indicates that your son is right now in first grade in India and he is starting the school from June in India. There are many times people come to Germany after the school in Germany start in Aug. Your son will get school where is your residence address is there, so you can do schooling in Germany after coming here. Bring necessary documents which is needed for admission. Yes u need to take admission in first grade here since his first grade is not completed.

Thank you Mam for the video. My Daughter and son are in class 5 and 2 in CBSE in India they will move to Germany in April 23 mean time they Will complete current standard in India. When is the next year admission? or will get admission in Public school in April 23? We are hoping they will complete A1 before moving to Germany. Please Advice and Thank you in Advance

Hello Sir, My daughter was also taken admission in third grade in Germany after completion second in India. So basically school start in Germany around August but you need to take admission prior to it. So here where you are going to stay you will get the school which is nearby. You need to take appointment for meeting the principal of school by phone or writing mail. If that doesn't work out go by direct walk in. So what documents you need I had already shared in this or another video. It's good that your kids know basic A1 language but when they come here school will provide them with extra German classes due to which they can excel in the language. Let me know if any query still exists.

My daughter completed 7yrs in Dec2023. In India she has completed her 2nd standard from CBSE board and now we have taken her admission for 3rd standard in India ...but we will be moving to Germany in Mid April or end of April 2024. Can you olease guide me what documents will be required to take her school admission in Germany. Birth certificate and 2nd standard result is enough or they will require Leaving Certificate? Also , can she get admission in 3rd standard or they will take her in 2nd standard as per age criteria?

Hi dear, with respect to your query, u need birth certificate, result and immunization certificate of her when u are coming to Germany. She can get admission in third grade provided that if u share the result of second grade.

Hi.My kid is 12 years old.If he will join German Public school which grade he will get admission ?As of now he is studying Grade 7.As he has no idea of German language will he be separated from regular class to learn German language.If he is separated after how many months he can rejoin the regular class ? And in which grade he will be going ? Please advise...

Hi Basha, a detailed video regarding same would help u in detail. Meantime; I want to tell u that basically my daughter when she joined German public school in first std first in month of aug at age of 7 year so you can recalculate I think your kid would be in seventh std probably. Here, kids are send for 2 month prior opening of school to learn German from school in which he learn basic language. Even they have extra class for German language where, teacher teach them language separately those who don't know language. If you have time then u can arrange some German language tuition now so it would not be difficult.

Hi thanks for the detailed info.. we r moving to italy from India and my kid is in standard 3 nd 4th. So If i m opting for public school there. the what prblm we will face and what preps we need to do before reaching there concerning Italian language.

It's not specific for Italian language, whenever we are moving to New country where language is different from our home town then in that case difficult to do conversation, understanding other perception since we don't know the vocabulary of that language. So better start learning little by little vocabulary and if possible join some courses online and offline or try to have someone in group which know Italian and English language too so you can converse with them for any requirements. U can use DeepL translator which convert the language to English.

Hello Priti, Many people who come here mainly send the kid to public German school as fees of international school is super expensive to afford. Every city and down have international school, you need to connect with them and meet personally and then next process start.

Hi, here many kids come with little knowledge or in learning phase of German language. When kids go to school they start learning language as soon as they interact with each other. So not to worry just continue with learning of language and try to be talking with each other at home. See German cartoon, movies for more fluency.

We stay in Hungary for 4 years. Now we are here. Im confused that shall I go back to India or stay here. My son already faced language issue in Hungary.. I don't want him to face the same problem again.

Hi Srijita, if u are planning for public school kids have German language from first grade till they go to university. So if you are planning to travel back to India then international school is the right option but expensive. If you are planning to stay here for few years then take online tuition from India so that they not miss with any syllabus if we plan to return. This is what I have done because we are also not sure about staying in Germany. This will help kids if they are moving back to India they know syllabus well.

If you are planning to come back to India, then international school is best but it would be expensive on pocket. As public school will be completely german language with maths and other subjects and English is just one subject. So if he go for public school and then coping with Indian education is difficult. Some kids get adjusted whereas some takes time.

I have taken admission when she was 6 yr old in first grade.So your daughter should be around 7 year. Initially it takes time to grasp language and depends on kids too what is the grasping capacity.

Hi, you can opt for international school in Germany but it is expensive. It is in English language so kids don't found difficult to adjust. When I moved to Germany my daughter was in first grade here in English medium but when we moved to Germany we opt for public german school. Initially it's tough, but kids learn fast.

Very informative. I need one info. Can we register the public school from abroad before landing in Germany? It’s also a requirement to apply Family reunion visa for kid over 7 years from Singapore.That’s why asking. Please guide me it will be a great help. Thanks 😊

Hi Sushmita, you need to have residence permit that means place of residence first register in Germany to welcome center. After residence permit you will get school near your home within few km. Every kid need to go to school in Germany no homeschooling allowed. You have to come in Germany, apply for residence permit and then need to call or take appointment with school. Then next process will be done. Hope your queries are cleared.

Hi, I know that public school don't have fees but no idea about bilingual school. To get admission in bilingual school there are certain criteria which u need to connect to school.
