in this video I renovate a Dinky SHADO 2 mobile for a friend as part of the Facebook diecast and modellers community page any TV or Movie vehicle challenge for April play worn loved and over painted, its been a restoration + i only hope he likes it !

Nice job ! I have a Shadow 2 that i restored about 5 years ago was a birthday present for my 9th birthday ( im 57 ) now. i re sprayed mine with a green metallic paint, i like it. I used caustic soda and a scotch pad to rub it down(:

That's an early release of the vehicle. the tell is the 2 rows of holes on the vertical parts of the rear chassis. Nice job all round but did you know you installed the tracks differently on either side ?.

Great job, but I would have preferred to see it finished in its tv correct livery of silver with a dash of blue in it. What were Dinky thinking painting them in green? Very best wishes, Adrian

Seems like Dinky loves green. Even the Eagles were green. Must have bought a bunch of green paint on sale in the 70's.

As this wasn’t mine I had to go with a restoration (ish) because that’s what my friend wanted, I do have one of my own I’ll do eventually I was going to do a tv style one but as there are a few around I’m thinking of going right off plan with my next one glad you liked it 👍🏻👍🏻

Can you please advise where the owner was able to buy the replacement tracks from, as Steve Flowers doesn't appear to have the tracks as a part I can purchase from him.
