In his new book, 'Teaching: It's Harder Than It Looks,' and his 'Life After Teaching' comedy tour, Gerry gets into his own experiences at the front of the classroom. We'll find out more about his funny but true life in school.

He was my High School teacher for 4 years. I was his first homeroom class in his first year of teaching. He was my favourit teacher ever and I was one of the very first students to suggest to him that he should become a stand up comedian 'cause he was so damn hilarious. I would cry often from laughing too much in his classes. My final year I took KINESIOLOGY which had nothing to do with my interests only because I wanted to have him as my teacher and that was the only course I could take that year with him. Super glad I did! It was the funniest class I had that year (not suprising ;) ).
