In 2012 werden voor de toen 18-jarige Gert van Hoef 2 concerten vastgelegd op DVD.
Omdat deze DVD's inmiddels niet meer zijn opgenomen in het assortiment van Gert zijn webshop heeft hij besloten de registratie van deze concerten beschikbaar te maken op KZfaq.

Gert bespeelt de Eminent Capella Concerto.
In 2012, for the then 18-year-old Gert van Hoef 2 concerts were recorded on DVD.
Because these DVDs are no longer included in Gert's range of products on his Webshop he has decided to make the registration of these concerts available on KZfaq.

Erst 18 Jahre alt, und er kann so spielen? Unglaublich! Die neueren Videos zeigen seine Entwicklung zu einem hochkarätigen Organisten sehr gut! Slechts 18 jaar oud, en hij kan zo spelen? Ongelooflijk! De nieuwere video's laten zijn ontwikkeling naar een toporganist goed zien!

Hello from Waterville Maine USA. I love this video so much I watch it once a week! I Love the way Gert & Jan work together on Improvisation about revival 124 'I build on you' , it is so beautiful. It is so nice to see two young men having fun making the "King of Instruments" make such Heavenly sounds.Bravo!

I totally agree. Since we get to listen to his music, It would be great to set up a fund in his name to help various charitable organizations. Not sure how this can be set up but I would certainly be willing to contribute a small payment for the privilege of listening to Gert. Gert could pick the cause.

Such a surprise to see and hear this wonderful compilation . Some I have never heard before. The most poignant one for me, and one of my favourites was "Lamentation" So fitting for Rememberence Day. I also thought that you nailed it with "Toccata" by Widor. Fantastic performance Gert you never fail. Thank you so much.

Just listened again to this magnificent concert. All Great! The piano pieces show the artist in you as finely as the organ. Bonus 3rd hand in the final piece was fantastic cooperation, hope he's still a close friend. Phil King (2020) in Butte MT USA

How generous of you to share this wonderful concert on KZfaq with us. The selections would not be complete without your expressions while you are playing. It just adds to the soul of the music. You are a true master. The beautiful piano pieces were a welcome surprise. Moonlight Sonata brings back childhood memories of visiting the little chapel at Knott's Berry Farm Amusement Park in Anaheim, California. This song was played while we sat quietly and watched some doors open and an image of Christ appeared with his eyes closed. As the music built, He slowly opened His eyes and that was so beautiful and Holy to me. Thank you, Gert, for bringing this memory back to me. ❤️

Mr. van Hoef is the 2nd coming of the organist at Riverside Church, & elsewhere, Virgil Fox. The greatest since I such organist like Fox left us.
