To the reporter that said, noone talks about Tanks boxing IQ. The first time I ever seen Tank fight, the first thing I noticed was his IQ level. The way he set his opponent up for the knockout was so beautiful. He threw 3 straight jabs to the body, than he dipped down to look like he was going for a 4th body shot which made his opponent drop his guard to block the body, Tank just launches his whole body into one of the craziest left hooks I've ever seen to his opponents head and it almost kilt him. Still one of my favourite KO's of all time next to the Leo Cruz knockout

Frank don't be ashamed dawg. You fought the best at 135lbs and came up short. Tank is a different breed and Frank made no excuses which is refreshingto see, just accountability. I also just wanna say Tank is literally the definition of a prize fighter and is indeed the face of the sport. He will never get in that ring afraid, dancing around, not fighting, ect. He literally wants to make sure those in attendance and ordering the PPV see action on action on action.

People are gonna joke on the ‘nah’ comment but pay attention and notice he GAVE SERIOUS THOUGHT to the question. You can see him replaying moments and thoughts and he decided “no, I’ve been tested worse by others.” He even catches himself on another question and says “nah, I’m not gonna be cocky.” That’s a professional maturing and, I think, gaining fans in the process. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Proud of this young man and I pray for his safe, prosperous success 🙏🏼

I really like post fight Tank. This is when you see the real boxer. The man behind the gloves sits down, and opens up. Tank Davis is the face of boxing in 2024-2025. Yeah only people I see beating Tank in 135 is Andy Cruz and maybe Shakur Stevenson. Shakur scared to get hit but Andy isn't. Tank and Andy best fight at 135 in my opinion. Also Tank Destroying Inoue if they ever meet at 130. I could see a catch weight for Tank and inoue at 128 possibly. Hopefully we get all these fights eventually

Frank is a class act & gracious in defeat. They all will lose if they keep fighting. A lot of sore losers but will see how Tank handles it when his time comes. The kill shot ain’t gone work every fight. Tank is a beast though. He puts to much fear in his opponents with that power. It’s gone take a special boxer to beat him.

Only fighter that can do that to him is Teofimo Lopez. But he’s at 140 now. He had power, speed, footwork and moves his head off line. No other fighter has all of that in his weigh class.

Frank Martin was up on points, yet voluntarily went into the corner, hoping to knock Tank out with a counter. That's just stupid strategy. He should've boxed to an unanimous decision.

This is factually incorrect. Tank was ahead 67-66 on all three scorecards through seven rounds, with each of the judges handing the first three rounds to Martin as Davis worked his way back into form. Bleacher report confirms this and the commentators mentioned the score as well after the fight. If the fight ended in round 7, Martin would have still lost by decision.

Frank deviated from the plan, he said so. It has always been Tank's thing to give up the earlier rounds, name a fight the he hasn't done that. He's processing data for the first half then uses what he's learned to beat you on the back half of the fight.

@@edntz Someone else explained it perfectly. All of Tank's opponents always say the same thing..I was winning, I was controlling the fight until he caught me. Do any of of them realize Tank's strategy is to give up early or even most rounds just to set up the brick hand? In Martin's case, you said he was winning the fight and should have coasted to a unanimous decision. Tank started to win and take rounds by the 3rd round. Martin was not up on the cards. Tank was up 67-66 by round 7. So, Tank was already turning the fight around and was already up on all 3 judges' cards. Most opponents, Tank waits even longer begin his offense after studying timing. No unanimous decision would have been possible.

Frank made no excuses. He stayed 💯 percent real and humble. Salute to him. He fought a great fight vs Gervonta who had the experience/ IQ. This was no chery pick and very competitive. This will bring growth and make Frank a better fighter. As for Gervonta another great performance great patients and game planning. He let his opponent punch himself out a bit and waited for the window to strike. He didn't get worried and try to rush things along. Congratulations to Tank for fighting a great fight.
