Gervonta "Tank" Davis (26-0-0, 24 KO) retained his WBA lightweight boxing title and is still undefeated after beating Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz (22-2-1) via unanimous decision.
With scores of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113, this is only the second time an opponent has stood up to Davis for 12 rounds.
"I hurt my hand, so I couldn't get him out of there," said Davis, a southpaw who barley threw a left hand over the final two rounds. "I was throwing down and I hit him on top of the head. I messed it up."

I’ve watched this fight over and over and over and after a few months I honestly feel the judge should’ve made the saga and called the fight a draw dam😢only in a perfect world would this have happened. They robbed us the fans of those Rights… we want a redoooo!!!😂

Every fight Cruz entered, he swarmed his opponent right up to the end of the bout. In this bout the power before him nullified that tactic, and had him choosing spots to try domination, only having to go on defense until the end! He simply ran into a boxer who continually stayed on him to the end, nullifying that signature swarm he was use too!! Noticed also at times in the later rounds, Cruz having to backup at times, something he's not use too. When the winner was called, his reaction said it all. He knew he had not been able to control as he wanted to!!
