This guy has the mind of a champion. Not always had the best mindset towards opponents at the beggining of his career but to me he became more mature. Its so impressive what he did coming from another sport im a fan.

I know people don’t like Price, and I think he was a bellend last week in the Wade game, as Wade appeared to do nothing, but that was entirely Gurneys fault tonight. Giving it the big man to someone who would quite obviously fold you in half because you know he can’t react, Gurney is arguably the biggest whopper in darts, and there’s quite a few of em.

Gerwyn Price is a great player, if he'd have done what Gurney did, he would've been in big trouble. I have liked Price since he started, he's an ex professional rugby player, so he's gonna have that bullish spirit, he''s great for darts, so give the guy a break and enjoy him while he's still here!

I don't see why people hate Price tbh, the man plays his game and wears heart on sleeve. Loves his sport, everyone overreacts but he's playing his game good and will do for years to come.

every bit of controversy and drama helps this sport all around - i dont want human puppets standing on the oche, throwing their 180s and walking off stage like a robot programmed to hit the treble bed; some character in this game is doing way more good than it does harm

Wasnt too long ago that people were hating gurney. I like price and hes great for the game. Remember hes there to win aswell and so long as he doesn't cheat theres no problem imo. At least he never looks smug like cadby

Gurney wound himself up. If he’s getting upset about noise from banging the glass down on the table, he needs to get a grip. Then the double double finish and celebration really pushed his buttons. Nice to see Gerwyn play his normal game and throw proper darts, let himself down last week, and only succeeded in spoiling his own game. Lesson learned, did nothing wrong tonight, Gurney out of order, I bet he tries to make light of the incident when he calms down and reflects on it.

it was all over nothing really. I think Gurney was just over animated at the end and his emotions got the better of him.

Actually started to take to Gerwyn. Players should be used to his style of play by now instead of trying to get him into trouble or act insulted when they can’t beat him.

I am not a huge fan of Price, but I watched the whole game and couldn’t see a single thing he did wrong. I think Gurney is a bit touched, he walks back from the board like someone who’s had a lobotomy.

I'm guessing nobody saw Price slam his drink down on the table when Gurney was going for the double on the 64 finish?? It was clearly shown on replay after the game finished. I don't mind all the theatrics with Price while throwing but that kind of thing is unnecessary

I believe Gurney said in a previous interview , mentally before a match he tries to actually get pissed off at his opponent in order to get that competitive.. I'll destroy my opponent because ...... some people play better pissed.. ie. Mr. Gary Anderson.

I know price can be a complete dick at times but he did nothing out of the way this match to deserve Gurneys actions. It's just the pressure of the game that gets to you and given the hostile fans, I thought Price did great. Gurney seemed to have this built up in him and it so happened that Price was the recipient of it.

To begin with I couldn't stand Price. All that shit with Anderson and Whitlock made it worse, and he's definitely still not my favourite player by a long way but he has certainly won my respect......Does he give a fuck about winning my respect? No, but I think most people will feel the same.....The way he has dealt with all the abuse, the boos and jeers and still come out fighting and winning in the same style as before, is second to none.....Takes a lot of bottle to do that. Players like Mervyn King have crumbled in the past and never recovered, but Price has just laughed it off and gotten on with it. In fact he has reveled in it..... Gurney was a prick at the end of that match because he has actually attacked him unprovoked and he deserved a jive to the jaw for that. I would have payed to see that his gigantic chin go..... He's payed his dues now, to the governing body and to the fans, and his opponents have just got to deal with it now. Love him or hate him, Price is here to stay. It's up to the other players out play him regardless of his on stage persona.
