for anyone wondering why it went bad and why the ingredients didnt dissolve together is because water and oil doesnt dissolve together without an emulsifier. otherwise they will separate . ALSO if there is a water in any oil based substance , you need to add an efficient preservative (which is not the vitamin e ) . if not , then the content will spoil and may lead to potential bacteria growth. obviously this recipe wont work and go bad after a few days because betroot juice has huge amount of water in it ( even if you boil it , the byproduct youre left with is still water soluble not oil ). hence it wont mix well with an oil like substance which is petrolatum . aka. vaseline you will see tons of youtuber doing this method as mentioned in the video to make the lip balm , but it really is not a good idea to formulate the lip balm recipe like that . im sure the video creator didnt mean any harm while making the video but i just have to point out this constructive critism that she couldve done some research before posting the final product.

Coconut oil, petro jelly and vit. E, all are fat soluble substances, and beet juice is the only aqueous substance. How do they dissolve in each other? Here is the answer: You need an emulsifier to bring everything into an emulsion. So, I suggest everyone to replace vaseline with cocoa butter (double-boiling) and also add 1 tsp. almond oil along with 1 tsp. coconut oil, to bring smoothness even in winters. Now you can smoothly bring in the beet juice into even and smooth emulsion, which melts only when you apply on lips! You can use this even as cuticle cream! Beet juice is a great idea.. I would add 5-6 drops of Geranium essential oil and name it "Rose Lip Balm" on a cute lable ;) :D

Very useful. It worked it 1 week You have to keep your body hydrate and dandruff free. So you need to drink at least 3 litres of water in a day. Then only that lip balm works super sexy.

*here comes the honest review* I tried this U all are right. The juice and oil get separated. But what i did is that i mix them in double boiler then i separate thr juice after it added its color to the oil. And now i have a perfect lip balm. I also added vaseline ( brought from Dubai.. ths is mixed with olive oil already ) And few drops rose oil 😊

Just scrub your lips with sugar, herbolene jelly, and honey often and you'll get exfoliated and lighter lips. You can also add lemon juice. And also wear lip balm with sunscreen. Works great 👍

Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline) is not good for lip balms, petroleum jelly is more of a skin protectant not moisturizer, if applied, it does not moisturize or nourish the lip but it creates a barrier so moisture cant escape or get in, so using this method will just color the lip like a lipstick rather than a lip balm, also beetroot can rot so i would just use food coloring instead but it will probably stain your teeth if you create a mess, i suggest just buying lip products that doesnt contain petroleum jelly
