like the way my video was edited up to look like I have issues with enhancements lol, I literally stated I have no problem with enhancements. I stated the OVER use... I get it clients have preferences, but alot of people who watch are trying to learn and will do what you do, and learning how to cut starts with natural. So when they watch these instructional videos they think this is the main way! alot I can say on that but its cool. I get it you all have product to sell. Bad examples using edge ups and shaping a fro as enhancing . Thats using what the client came in with and your talent to make them look good, Ill address alot of this in my next video... also I know how youtube algorithms work. This was a challenge to see the whole process. YOU WILL NEVER GET LEFT BEHIND BEING DOING NATURAL WORK lol, it actually sets you apart in a major way! Enhancements are an amazing service, but cutting natural is a skill, being able to manipulate an imperfect canvas naturally is art. Again I get it you guys have a business to grow but don't make me out to be against enhancements...

You alright bro? I showed you love in this video, sounds like a difference in opinion has struck a nerve. Do you agree with anything in the video? Should we stop using styling products since it ain’t what they came in with and washes out? There’s too many semantics & contradications with this “fabrication” idea imo. Either way I respect your opinion bro, Natural is the way and you should be great at it, like I said in this video. I didn’t say you were against enhancements, but I did say I disagree on those specific points highlighted in this video. Like I also mentioned in this video. The way you barber works for you and the way I barber works for me. We are running a business yes! We aren’t sponsored or slapping a label on a product already out there to make money.. we are creating innovative NEW products from the ground up. Surely we would create products we believe the industry needs and believe is good. Insinuating we use enhancements because we wanna sell more product is disappointing coming from you. I have the resources and experience to create any product I like. I don’t need to sell out. You’re writing in the comment section defending what you do under a video that shares a different view on the topic BUT agrees you need to be natural first 🤷🏽♂️ either way I appreciate the challenge had connected us in some way, happy holidays bro

You AND beam nailed that. Like, I learned from you, among others, that it's counterproductive to close yourself off from opportunities. I have literally never seen a client not go to a certain barber because they offer too many services. Even with the way I dress at the shop now... I have never seen a barber lose a client because they're dressed too nice. I have absolutely seen clients switch up because they want a service a particular barber doesn't offer. And I have definitely seen barbers not pick up a new client because said barber doesn't look respectable enough.

I want to see an all shear cut challenge. So many barbers only care about the fade work or their clipper work. I want to see if you take the clippers out of their hands what they can do with scissors.

Yeah not too many barbers can do it but tbh. My videos that get the least views are all scissor cuts... I think majority of people especially in the states are more interested in fades

Less than a week ago I watched beamed do a haircut in person and I'm thinking this haircut is flawless then he enhanced it to a level that was out of this world! So enhancements are definitely just an addition to a great cut!

I love how the topic of enhancements is being discussed openly. Instead of bashing one another, let’s just talk about it. I’ve been subbed to all of them for a long time and I’m loving it. It’s just healthy competition, pushing each other to be better. Chris you really should reconsider getting in on this bro. They opened it up to anybody who wants to get in. It’s just good for the industry. If you still have a jumpshot you should get in on this challenge.

Agree 100%, if you’re clients like it why not,go for it,extra couple of bucks in your pocket,the client feels like a million bucks,as long as he’s happy go for it,enhancements don’t hide a bad cut just looks worse,but it will take a good cut to the a hole new level,shout-out to Chris and all the players in the game for dishing out these gems.

About 25 years ago or longer, men where getting there hair dyed black to enhance their waves. I have seen enhancements before KZfaq even came out! I’m showing my age, lol! It all depends on the area and what is in style! I love all of young men for what your doing in the barbering world, It’s good have a difference of professional opinion, but gamechanger also wanted to come to people’s shops and chop it up and have a cut off. I would love to see that!

Agree...Agree... Its so many sides to this thing (Enhancements). I will say... I have not seen ONE CUT that 'Gamechanger' has done that 'needed' enhancements to make it... (POP). All his cuts POP off the rip. But again... Its a great discussion.

He’s a great barber. No cut should “need it”. Even people who aren’t blessed with full hair may prefer no enhancement. I think we can both agree, if the model couldn’t get a haircut that popped, it wouldn’t be uploaded. There’s times I don’t upload a video because I’ve lost clients due to harsh comments. I ain’t trying to sacrifice a persons confidence for a upload. I’m just highlighting what people lose sight on.

I’m a starting barber I’ve been cutting since I was 14. I’m apprenticing under a guy at my local shop I’m getting even better. But my shear work needs a lot of work don’t get me wrong I get nice with the shears but I wanna be better. Perfect canvases out of 10 clients i honestli cant even say 1 definitely... ppl come into the shop wanting a total transformation basically.... they may not get haircuts regularly.... they have thinning hair or thinning hairlines... and as a barber during the consultation you have to discern whether the haircut that the customer wants is the haircut that fits them
