Foxy, you’re amazing at guides, straight to the gameplan and to the option setups with each character, it makes each guide so much easier. You’ve really pointed out that MK1 have a few characters with great hit advantage really thrive off double hitting mids (baraka, liu) and also have the option to throw or mixup, the game is straight forward and you show that 👍🏼

Try to memorize wich grab they use, usually Liu x Lao players always try to do the back throw so they can combo with lao, tech it by pressing square/X

I've enjoyed playing liu kang frost lately as well. You dont get the throw combo but you can call the neutral assist after f44 to be +, especially nasty in the corner. The freeze slide is a nice bonus for the zoning game and there are some setups with the orb in some MUs as well. Meterless combo from 12 with frost also.

Your DB4 can't anti air divekicks, such as the kung lao and sub zero dive kick unless timed perfectly, sometimes it will trade.

As a Kang main, can confirm that this stuff is only effective against crap players. Any decent player who's played Liu can and will avoid it lol depending on how you mix it up. But definitely an ez win against lower levels

Not true, especially considering the King of all Kangs is Ninjakilla and he wont even switch off this in tournament. The skill cap is based on your own strike throw game, not that of the team. Gotta work on your understanding of your own/your opponents timings if you're struggling with this team.

@@AF0xyGrampa hmm aight fair point. I do find myself falling into the same patterns (like going for grabs in certain situations). I even played a few kasual matches with someone I beat in KL and he pointed out certain things he noticed I did habitually. Gonna need to work on that. Currently at God in KL for context

I dont know Liu Kang but I'm assuming it's a set up. 333 into the fire kick thing knocks the opponent away. Ending the kombo the way he does sets him up for another throw.

Wouldn’t Motaro be a bit better over Lao since you have the option to stay plus on block with his laser now? You still get the teleport for throw combos, but you get the added benefit of being plus with a faster recharge.

Been using that team for while. It works better. You lose the Lao low hat setup stuff but I’d trade that for more + frame pressure

Plus with motaro, u have to spend a bar to do a full combo which takes away from your ability to use breaker. Motaro is helpful in certain matchups but Lao has much more firepower
