You should mention that you must be running PRO-C before running RetroArch. Hardware or software changes on your device may damage your device.

Something to add for PSP go users wanting to use internal storage instead of memstick. When you first boot retroarch, nativagate to Settings>Directory. Change the paths that have ms0: /PSP/... to es0:/PSP/... For example Downloads is by default on ms0/PSP/RETROARCH/DOWNLOADS change it to ef0: /PSP/RETROARCH/DOWNLOADS, you may have to create these manually first

This is helpful, but it's created a paradox for me. It won't let me save the changes to the directories since it tries to save to changes to the memory stick... but I can't change that since it tries to save to the memory stick. Is there any way to fix this?

Hey, I didn't change the paths, so though I copied the files to my internal storage,its set up directories on the memory stick. What do I do now? Shall I continue to copy the files in the right places or delete all the files and start over? Thanks

Cool, I do this with an iPhone and use an ftp connection instead. PSP FTPD or PSP WiFile Transfer are my fave FTP apps

I usually just go and find a bios pack and download that and save it to the memory card for older systems that need it. Most of them really don't except for ones like cd consoles.

At 2:40 he transferred 2 folders which are intellivision and System. This is my first time tweaking my PSP and I am unsure where to get this. Is that a normal GBA ROM that you're transferring to the PSP? How about the System folder or the BIOS, where can I download that?

@@NaybaMade I did figure it out, so when you click the first folder there can not be an identical folder inside you must pull the folder out of the folder if that makes sense

Having same troubles, I've had to uninstall RetroArch once before as it had trouble running, and now it and any other files I try to add says that they are corrupted. Update: was able to find out what the problem was, my micro SD card was faulty. Used a program to check if there was something wrong with it and found out that it was a faulty one, so purchased a new one and it is now running very smoothly

Try deleting retro arch off your computer and redownload it and watch the video closely it should work

May I request a little help? I've placed the roms into the downloads folder and the roms are not showing up. YES, I've even added the complete retroArch bios folders just as you have. The roms ade still not appearing. Ive extracted the roms themselves AND kept zipped forms of them in thd same folder... They are not showing up. you have double the retro arch file then another file called retro arch will show up. copy & paste that file into your game folder

iirc i think its up to 128gigs as the psp uses the sdhc standard.

128gb will make it run a tiny bit slower. Honestly 32 or 64 gbs is more than enough space. Even most psp games aren't even 1gbs

I have the same problem. Everything works except for the fact i don't have those files. I simply don't trust this channel with modding PSP, i used his tutorial for custom firmware but it didn't work, the very next tutorial i used (from another channel) worked perfectly! i reccomend just using another tutorial.

managed to get retroarch running, got a few games, as well as "parent directory", but when selecting a game, "no items".....tried Euphoria type, but can't get game genie to work (load genie, then a code, but genie is stuck in a loops and reboots into genie)...using psp not go

Absolutely not. Try RA's Snes cores for instance, and compare it to Snes9x. While Retroarch will lag and play games quarter speed, the standalone emu will run them mostly no issue. Same for the standalone N64 emulation.

How does it work for Sega Genesis emulation? I've been using Picodrive myself and it has some problems: the music is weird and a few sound effects are missing in After Burner II and The Duel: Test Drive II is basically unplayable due to graphical issues.
