I'm confused about keeping a straight wrist versus having curl in the fingers. I can only do one or the other, though I see almost every other guitarist able to have both at the same time. My wrist has a mild ache on the backside now. I have short fingers. I don't know how to keep the wrist straight with thumb on the middle of the back of the neck while being able to have curled fingers and applying enough pressure to ring the thickest strings. I lose finger control if I move my thumb too far up. My wrist bends and strains when I move my thumb too far down. Can you help?

Thanks for the video it is impossible for me to play like Jimmy hendrix lol like you say i can't move my fingers. I usually play with the corect hand position but have trouble reaching the f note do you have any advice or stretching exercises to manage to play easier on the first fret thanks
