Something interesting to add with crossout designator and side decking is the diversity in our card pool. playing HFD, lightning storm, and reboot or a copy of twin/cyclone is effectively the same thing as reserving 3 side deck slots for backrow. Dark ruler no more, nibiru, droplet, sometimes droll and lancea also can kill combo decks. At this point, if you don’t want to draw into designator going 2nd game 1, I don’t see why you can’t just side 3 designator and 12 one of’s that are meant to beat certain decks in the way 3 of’s would. Like instead of siding triple nib, you can side shifter, nib, dark ruler, droplet etc.

idk but i think designator is going to make everyone think twice about running 2 or 3 of copies unless they're for the deck's core. I see this as a healthy step at no longer playing the probability deck building with handtraps and towards a more versatile deck building were skillset will be far more noticeable.

In terms of height of impact, I think decks that are highly reliant on getting off their normal summon benefit the most from Crossout Designator

Sad thing that even if that could help budget players, they won't (I suppose) buy it as it's gonna be expensive. Now even if you managed to get some handtraps as a budget player, they won't be enough. Sad budgety noises.

budget players will most definitely not be able to play Crossout for some time HOWEVER seeing the impact this card has against Nibiru/Handtraps and such that means more decks will play less of them possibly, as well as vs. Crossout having a super niche deck is actually a plus because they won't have a copy in their decks. but budget players do have the odds stacked against them, you need to be extra cautious when building against other decks

No. Crossout D was the main seller for the tins. I don't think it will be short printed too badly, but will be the main seller. No TTT, No Droplet, No Access Code. Those will probably appear later in smaller reprint sets like Pot of Ex. In Toon Chaos last year. All in all, I would say this was the worst tin in the last 4 years.

I love this card. I think it will lead to a lot of new big brain builds and it reminds me of GOAT format how Nobleman of Crossout had a lot of interaction. Honestly, this card is a lot better in creating new counter play than Nobleman, too.

I love how combo was already a problem and you're only chance of stopping them from setting up a board that doesn't let you play the game at all was being able to hand trap them and this card just lets them fucking lets them no longer care and go unchecked. Gonna be so fun losing based off the dice roll.

About spells with droplets the best way to negate with multiple negations on board was to always use the spell card first then chain droplets sending that spell you used as part of the cost. Yes this won't always apply due to how boardstate is not always the same but is a thing that players did with droplets to stop both spells and monster effects while minimizing losses.

Quick question, might be complicated but since you are talking about cards CD can banish, what if you activate a card and your opponent activates CD and you have your own CD on the field and you activate yours to banish a second copy of CD does it negate all the CD?

I think drytron would only side crossout for droll tbh. Most side belle for cycle reader and belle doubles as a HT without you needing to “waste” side deck space or add bricks to the main

Even if youre a budget player, just save and get this card. It will be worth your investment. It will make 90% of all your decks better. Only reason I see this card not being played is A: your deck doesnt have room for it or B: Youre playing a heavy backrow deck that sets 4-5 and passes. Like Eldlich trap deck. Whats also really nice is you can stop main deck monster floodgates. Like Scythe, Gizmek cards, barrier statues. Can even stop a tyranno from dino and all that

So to clarify: if I draw this card in my opening 5 cards and activate it straight away, declaring Nibiru, it just negates Nibiru without me even knowing if my OP has Nibiru? As long as I can banish a Nibiru from my deck, I'll know my whole turn is safe from Nibiru? Is that right or do I have to respond to my opponent activating the card I want to negate?

What your describing is the way you'd have to play this card pre-emptively if you wanted to prevent a counter trap otherwise you won't be able to respond obviously cuz spell speed 3 is quick play and counter Traps are spell speed 4

Not necessarily though because most people will be running a diverse lineup to cast a wide net against the meta. It's still broken, but there's a high level of skill required in both deckbuilding, and in game, to use it effectively.

Just get a case or 2. So far the ratios show that crossout isnt short print and are roughly 1.5 per case meaning you should pull 2 per case. The card will stay a solid 90 bucks for a long time

Oh shoot. Ultimate Slayer can be stopped by Magic and Trap cards. So if someone uses this they might have to consider a side of an Ultimate Slayer. That's an unexpected cost lol.

I think one deckbuilding dimension that will be affected will be that players will have to reconsider if they will be using desires along with designator, as they are very likely to lose their targets. So some of those decks like prank kids or salads will have to probably give up desires

Crossout designator is very strong in the current format. However, over time people will try to experiment with different hand traps to try to avoid the chances that your opponent can counter your hand trap. Konami is also still making more hands traps too. Herald of orange light is an example of a hand trap that only drytrons run. Theirs always a limit to the number of cards you can tech in before the consistency of your deck starts to not be good. I think Crossout designator is only good against generic cards that are currently seeing play and not good against cards that don't represent the majority of decks that are currently being played. It's basically a meta call is what it comes down to it.

@@davida.m.fonseca1434 it only negate for that turn. I use it on my turn to banish a metaphys and then on my opponent’s turn, I can use their standby phase effects.
