Great kit you have there, I love the modded bowl for a fire pit, great innovative idea there. That wood sheath is so Kool, definitely not something you see everyday.

I tend to comment as I watch the vdo so I can get wordy at times or make an assumption early on only to be informed later... lol.. I like that bag but I have a bag obsession. You didnt provide a link to it... Im 65 but Ive been battered and broken a lot, Ive broken most of the bones in my body, some 2 or more times, I have more metal plates, screws and bolts than some new cars and I have a bad heart with pacemaker. 20 miles would probably take me 3-4 days if there werent many hills or inclines, I might be able to do a little better if I can find a shopping cart that works... I have not tried the patriot battery but I have tried several others, I thought they would be good for hurricanes but they take several days of full florida sun to recharge. I have a 10w solar panel on the dash that does a better job and its about the size of a composition folder just a lot skinnier so it could be backpacked if needed. Thats a sweet wood sheath for that knife! another great vdo, its amazing you dont have more subscribers but you've gained 15 since I subbed a day ago!! high 5

Nice EDC. I don't really differentiate bags like a lot of people do (get home bag, bug out bag, INCH [I'm Never Coming Home] bag, every day carry bag, personal survival kit, IFAK [Individual First Aid Ki], and so on), but I do keep a kit nearby to serve all of those functions. It's hard to make many comments about additions / subtractions from such a kit, because it's so dependent upon your area, skills, circumstances, body, etc. To give an example of this, I don't bring socks because I'm a barefooter, and I don't bring underwear because I'm a "freestyler." (Personally, the chafe of wearing underwear for a 26 mile hike would be an issue for me.) But I understand how they could be important for some. It might be worth bringing a map and compass, in case you need to navigate cross-country. You might also find that a folding saw compliments your kit well. If / when you are ready to go full keto or carnivore, there are some surprisingly decent options to pack in your kit for that. Lately, I've been choosing the EPIC venison bars for my emergency kits, which are basically just grass fed meat, with a bit of pepper, garlic, and onion. I wish they were totally plant-free, but they're close enough for such a purpose, and they're very high in healthy fats and proteins, while being carbohydrate free. That said, I don't actually consider food to be a high priority for such a kit. Once your body is fully adapted for ketosis, it's not really uncomfortable or difficult at all to fast for a few days while relying on body fat.

@@oldmaninthewoods52 lol. Grandparent's are from Alabama and Louisiana, you can imagine what football season is like. But we all can agree that Florida sucks the most.
