Can't, really. If they don't drop their gear then no one else can. If they have extremely high heat resist, so will anyone else wearing all those clothes.

@@shoelessbandit1581 That is the bandaid just for this exploit, but will cause problems if somebody would want to fight the empire in legitemate way, because they will gain nothing from it. The best solution would be to tie their safety to the same reaction as one would attack them. Since you have 100% control when they show up, it is fair you get punished if something happens to them.

I used them with the refugees i let them get cooked on 200C for about a minute then just capture them without a problem

the weapons are biocoded, death acicidiers will destroy apparel or you will take a relations hit if you strip them off. The only thing this might be good for is prosthetics if you have Post Mortem.

Imperial colonist have a biomodification in their chestplate, "toxic deoxifier" or something, that, when the pawn dies, all its clothing gets destroyed, also, the imperial weapons are biocoded, so only the owner can use it

Oh the guards don't have the acid implants nor biocoding. I tried this myself and its much more efficient to use heaters then imprison them, harvest organs, then release them to produce enough goodwill to be friends again

they dont die, they get downed from heat first. thats when you can strip them. only some weapons are biocoded at all

No more....most of them are bio-coded and their special mod destroys any gear they are wearing on death

This method doesn't kill them, which doesn't trigger the death. You can strip them, and even though it will lower goodwill, you make more goodwil from them leaving the map alive.

They did, tynan has a raging boner for the imperium, he insist that the player cannot farm them in any way Which is why the deserter quest remains the shittiest path one can take in a campaign

@@mickeyrace873I actually did farm the empire even after the patch by putting the bestower in a cryo casket from the ancient dangers it won’t negate relations from the empire and I can take his psylink whenever I want

Capture them. Strip them. Harvest a few parts and send them back on their way. Send all unecessary weapon and armor with a drop pod or caravan to the empire. Rinse and repeat. I didn't do it, i swear.

This is smart. When you capture them, you'll be able to strip them of their gears without the items breaking due to the things being biocoded. And with those excess items, you can send back to the empire and regain honour.

Striping them will lower rep, however sending them stuff (eg. That biocoded etc.) and allowing them to leave the map will pump the rep back up again :)

No don’t capture, imprisonment is bad for rep just do what they did in the video or find another way to incapacitate them and then you can do the whole strip, patch up and send off shpeel

@@zyanidwarfare5634 you might loose rep, but you'll gain more from what you're sending back (releasing and separate organs/equipment). Also note that since this message has been written, the game got updated and this strategy is harder to do since relation gain are lowered. So depending on the rep loss, you might have to send some of your stuff too to make up for it. Still too easy to pump it back up in my opinion.

You only have to cancel the bestowing ceremony taje evetyone you can out of participantinf and accept it using a different pawn than the one you accepted the honor quest with. Then they will just stay at that spot untill they collapse from exhaustion abd hunger, then you can rescue them, feed them and pick up the psylinks with no faction effects. They will keep coming back

you can also just do this with heaters on 100 C they will be downed by heatstroke and get no dmg then simply open the door and they leave and you get all reputation back i found this out by accident

What I do is heal the empire soldiers after they're downed. But I'll loot their stuff. When they exit the map fully healed you will gain good will with the empire. You can have infinite weapons and become allies with the empire. Two birds in one stone.

Here are some tips if you que up repairing the walls they would stop trying to mine it, if you wait untill they get downed from heatstroke you could turn the room into a prison capture them steal their gear and release depending on how many survive they will turn friendly again

It working like charm in ps4...i put heater in room let them get heatstroke and fall down..and destroy the wall before the red hood guy died...if the red hood die they will hate u...also you can tried safe hood guy and get free goodwill

You can actually do this in a different way "Let the Bestower starve and when he/she goes unconscious tend her/him don't let them die or the quest will fail, when the bestower is unconscious, get the sylinc and repeat" Though I don't know if I explained it right so do it with risk

You can also gain infinite faction points for this, since they get downed you’ll get faction points when they leave

If I recall, you need to make sure that A: The empire pawns leave the map healthy, so be sure to rescue them and treat them of any burns and B: do not assign the link to the guy who was supposed to get them. If you do, then they might not bring any more links.

Interesting. Usually I just have about 12 heaters and then I crank them up to 400 degrees. Never tried just lighting stuff on fire would be bad with CE cuz the smoke inhalation will def kill them.

The devs counter to this is that all royalty soldier's weapons are biocoded. Even if they dropped them, it is unusable after their death.

Eh kind of a bandaid fix that would then make fighting the empire legit for their gear worthless. A better idea would be to implement that if they die on your land you lose relation with the empire since when you get the quest you can choose when and where they land so that rules out most accidents. Also makes some logical sense if a foreign dignitary dies due to your lack of security or planned malintent you should be blamed for it

Pretty sure it’s patched now in 1.4 since trying makes the ritual ultimately cancel and makes you loose faction points as if they had died on your territory

@@09tomforeman Playing for the colony simulation really. Not the tower defense portion of the game. With mods like interaction bubbles, children school and learning and more mods deepening the immersion, you basically got a sims game on an rimplanet with shooting elements. It's fun to actually watch a colony develop and grow.

@@BrutusAlbion I mean I respect the play style and also like to see a colony grow ( I have a 300+ hour colony that is so advanced I literally can’t do anything else with it; spaceships, genetics, robots etc. ) however i just can’t help but exploit the game’s ai whenever I get the chance. Rome wasn’t built without burning several dozen innocents along the way… ;)

@@BrutusAlbion nah that’s whack. Rimworld is literally a game of exploiting everything around you to advance your colony. Cheating in most games ruins them but rimworld is built for it. I never use dev mode but for sure I’m gonna trap and kill ai to get ahead, especially on blood and dust difficulty.. But if you wanna play on boring mode that’s your choice
