It is called a hara marker and the brand I have, which looks exactly like your,is a Clover one. I have had one for years. It is used by quilters to mark fabric without adding ink or chalk. It is also used in Sashiko and Bogaji which is a Korean technique. Available in quilting stores and fabric stores as well as on Amazon and probably on Nancy’s notions.

Just now watching this and have a possible recommendation for archival glue stick. Ranger makes one in their Dylusions line called Creative Dyary glue stick that is acid free and non-toxic. Generally if something is acid free it is archival. Would be worth checking their website for more info if this is a concern.
