The key to this is being able to shoot the ball, you're not getting that angle unless a defender has to play you close, this is why Trae is so lethal, everybody is so scared of the shot, he just needs to get a defender leaning one way then he's gone

this is not true I used to do this all the time and I'm not the best shooter this is all about being quick using your speed and fast and slow momentum to set up a clean drive what you are talking about is a hesitation this is about using your off arm.. weather you can shoot or not if you use your speed and quickness right with aggression this actually becomes obsessively easy I'm not going to lie I had forgot how to do this because I had stopped balling for a while but seeing trae talk about it and walk through it again I now remember using your off arm is about speed and aggression.. and giving yourself an angle rather than let the defender give you one

It’s amazing that most people forget that being a great shooter and ball handler is having great hand strength. Look at the way he palms the ball at 0:15

Nah. He can do that cause he has big hand. A guy with small hand cannot palm the ball but that doesn't mean he can't handle well
