I love how Kanami starts the riff for 2 bars, and then Miku takes it over throughout the song, and Saiki just kills the vocals on this one.

This and Don't You Tell Me,live, are two examples of extra bits they add for live performances. Sadly, usually done only for one tour, never to be done again. I guess it is part of their mindset of always moving forward to new things.

In this version of Take Me Higher, if you pay close attention, you can hear what they're saying in this rare translated "conversation" during their solos: MISA - Watch this hot fingers. Kanami - Oh yah? Check out this tapping, killer. MISA - Everybody taps. Try these pulls. Kanami - Fools pull. Let's see ya stretch these chords. MISA - I can do all that... barefoot! Kanami - Sure, if ya drink enough JB. MISA - Better than being a speed-o, coffee-bean-o. Kanami rips a long solo while mouthing, "Love you MISA-san." MISA giggles, starts dancing around. They look toward Saiki to start her slow breakdown. Miku pretends to tune while shaking her head. Akane cracks up so hard she can barely play. Just Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things! Another Band-Maid banger that has indeed, taken us higher! Thx, GMG.

Jim Morrison was walking by their studio and heard this song. When Saiki said "take me higher", the Lizard King turned to her and said (of course) - girl, you couldn't get much higher. And you know what song he wrote when he got home.

This clip has been put up and taken down a few times, so good work finding it. One of the first live clips I ever saw of them, and it just hooked me completely. True throwback rock and roll, done better than it's been done in over forty years. Even more than GNR, I get early Rolling Stones vibes, but the girls are better on their instruments. And Miku's dirty rhythm line is to die for.

It's magnificent just how well these musicians work together...that Bass/Guitar has to include the drum work of Akane. She brings out the other two instruments with her well time beats and accented drum hits! Thanks - Peace & Respect from Canada 🇨🇦

This song or I Can't Live Without You would have been perfect openers for the G'N'R show. They are just pure B-M hard rock. Heavy and riffy. Just the way Kanami intended. ぽ

This song certainly sounds like an typical Western rock number, and some overseas people seems that they don't like it so much. But I like this song (I have the album it's on), and as for the live video, Kanami's appearance on the wah-wah pedal is so fascinating. I also like Miku's chorus. Of course Misa's bass and Akane's drums are wonderful. Oh, I forgot the great Saiki, the sadistic Queen who kicks Miku..., haha. Thank you from Japan. PS. Band Maid has announced that they will play in music festivals in the US again in May! And they'll finally come to my hometown city of Japan in September on the touring. I can't wait to see them!

This "take me higher" is from the 2017 studio coast live, which has only been released as an hour long edit. As is common practice in the video production industry, the entire concert is filmed and then a shortened version is created. It's clear that the entire two hours were filmed for this concert as well. If BAND-MAID's popularity increases in the US and Europe, a new full version of this concert may be released. i want that In Japan, as long as a band sticks to maid costumes and pretends to be a maid café culture, it will not be able to gain support from today's young people. Even if it is highly evaluated by some, it ends there.

I just love these cultivated conversations between two highly talented musicians. Actually, this one takes place between three of them, because Akane makes sure that this conversation doesn't get out of hand. :) ... Maybe we should just mention that this conversation continued a year later at Zepp Tokyo during the song 'Don't You Tell me'. I would really LOVE to see them take these older call & response/intro's into their new tour. To listen to their new tour set list and NOT hear the likes of the Shibuya jam, like Domination, is disappointing, to say the least. The jams and extended intros are what we CRAVE! Dear Band-Maid.... STOP with the amount of songs you can play in one show and increase JAM!!
